A scooter is a little easier than a skateboard because of the handle bars but the handle bars let you do more interesting tricks, overall both are good but a scatter can probably do pretty good starting on a scooter because they are sort of similar
I hate how much disrespect scootering gets these days it’s equally the same in difficulty we shouldn’t compare two different sports we should all respect each other and have a good time
It’s because skaters are used to flipping their boards under their feet when they do a trick, scooters are like the exact same, you gotta get used to the deck moving under you, so that’s prob why he did that tailwhip with ease
The first time you ride a scooter you can pretty much do it as soon as you step on the scooter but with a skate board it can take weeks just to get comfortable on it. But no hate respect the grind
Lower skill floor, but probably a fairly equal skill ceiling. Because you can just hop on a scooter and most likely not fall with no training, it’s viewed as easy on the whole
Scooting: easier to learn the basics, harder to progress with actual good tricks. Skating:harder to learn the basics, easier to get good at (I used to scoot now I skate)
Scootering is easier as there is less of a fear factor and it’s is possible to land a tailwhip on your first day while skating takes days maybe weeks months or sometimes years to learn to do a simple ollie
Im traumatised because of a scooter, im riding my scooter then i thinked what if i perform a trick then i did it then the next thing i knew is that i have a broken arm.
Easier until you bust your knee trying to do something basic because there's a pole in the way. I'd be more comfortable on a board doing verts than having a false sense of security with something to hold on to. I can jump off a board in any direction without any obstruction.

i don't think its necessarily easier than skateboarding or anything else technique or skill wise. all riding disciplines have a catch.
