Efra is right, hindi is the language with most speakers in India. But there is no single official language in India. 22 languages are considered official.

The language he sang was Tamil. Tamil is the mother language of all the Southern language family. Tamil and Malayalam r very close in word meaning and pronounciation indeed .
As a malayali , we all agree that Tamil is the most musical and expressive language we have ever heard . It's just bliss.
I always tell my north friends , you are missing something exceptional in life by not knowing this beauty of a language.

I heard KS Harishankar live a few years ago in school n he sounds the exact same live!! He is also incredibly good at playing the audience n hyping them . Definitely watch him live if you get a chance!
Harishankar came to my college for the convocation program and his voice was heavenly,also his band mates ...moreover a simple, down to earth person...please check out his other works....his every work is mesmerizing ...

you need to see rest of the India to agree to that... Kerala being called GOD'S OWN COUNTRY, is nothing but just a marketing strategy.
Out of 28 states, i had covered 21 already and I wont even count Kerala in my top 10. When called GOD'S OWN COUNTRY, I'm considering not just the scenic view but also the people.
Please also check out the 'pookal pookum' medley that Thaikkudam Bridge did in their backyard sessions as well! They are amazing at combining multiple songs in similar ragas and arranging acoustic versions. :)
Way to go Efra!!! As a Tamilan, I have to say you really did nail the 'pookul pookum' part ( it's a tamil song btw ).

my point was for him to check out more soulful songs from the tamil industry rather than the usually popular dance numbers 🤷
@@aonr3465 is zara a dance no. They never check out dance no. Check all the songs they reacted. Rarely any of them will be dance no. They have checked out alot of tamil sing already. I follow them regulsrly. They have a dedicated video for only south indian songs if i am not mistaken. You u not get dissapointed even if u check out tgeir hindi songs reactions. They picked best songs to react mostly based on singers not popularity

I forgot to mention about his parents in the previous comment. His father, Alleppey Sreekumar(late), was a Carnatic vocalist and former principal of Sree Swathi Thirunal College of Music College and his mother Kamala Lekshmi is a noted Veena player. Basically his whole family is a university of music. He is trained by his grandmother and his father. You can find some old videos of him performing classical music with his father in CZcams.

Language is a touchy subject in India. Never compare Indian languages unless you want to start a war, and I'm not exaggerating.
Bengali or Bangla is phonetically as beautiful sounding as French as soft vowels are given priority by rounding them out and hard consonants are suppressed or absent unlike phonetically harsh languages like German (each consonant is harshly pronounced achtung!)
