You dont have to let it go. But do understand that those days are over. Simply because in these days it was life or death in every moment. nearly every fight was one sided and the stakes were ridiculously high. I do miss it too, but dragon ball where it is now is still Dragon Ball, just aged with the times
Put simply, Lord Slug, as voiced by Brice Armstrong, is one of my favorite Dragon Ball villains, period. In every other piece of media, Lord Slug has basically been tight cast as "he's an evil Namekian", which doesn't give much to separate him from other minions aside from his species. What Brice (and the English writers for this movie) did was make Lord Slug's Namekian heritage, the big plot twist when this first came out, merely one aspect of the character rather than the sole thing that defines him. However they went about his dialogue, be it lack of translation or "we have the translation, but let's spice it up", Brice knocked it out of the park voicing him. Sure, "Come to Papa," "...use the side entrance," "Nothing like a little window shopping," "Peekaboo," and the rest are just funny to hear from a space alien, but I think his delivery genuinely gives Lord Slug personality beyond just wanting to rule all. It conveys a sense that he's been in the conquering game for so long and is so confident in his rejuvenated youth that he treats everything lightly. A combination of "I've already got this" and "I might as well have fun with it," like even he is bored of just playing it straight. I walk away with the sense of Lord Slug possessing a laid back and almost goofy demeanor at times, which is then contrasted by just how powerful and dangerous a threat he can be to the heroes. I could go on and on in attempting to analyze what I like about him (including that dope helmet he should wear more often), but I love Brice's take on Lord Slug. It sticks with me, makes me happy to revisit the movie, and as much as part of me wishes we could get a take on Lord Slug today that took a page from this English portrayal, I'm just happy to have even gotten it once.
2:48 Lord slug messed himself up. when he ripped Goku's shirt off
1:36 slug walked through a concrete as if it was nothing.
Bruh, that "side entrance" line sounds like something straight out of DBZA 😂😂😂
0:23 😂😂😂😂 wdf??!? Wdf was Krillin ass thinking about? 😂😂

"Thanks, but no thanks. We're both self employed"
"Oh" says slug quietly and disappointedly

Technically krillin attacked first 😂
Untrue. They landed their ship on earth and immediately caused damage and started a terra forming process. They attacked first.
Like how slug fights like a heavy hitter brawler

That voice actor of captain ginyu and lord slug
1:10 wow, looks like all those years of training for "competitive bitch toss" came in handy for Slug.
First time hearing the word slug as a kid. A
