  • In collaboration with the State and County of Maui, Hawai‘i Foodservice Alliance arrived in Kapalua with their first deliveries of aid on Aug. 9 while firefighters were still battling the fire in Lahaina. As the relief effort continued to help those in need. HFA providing tens of millions of pounds of food, water and aid secured and transported from donors across all islands, the continental U.S., and international groups. Thousands of hours were donated by HFA staff along with equipment and supplies for repairs for distribution sites.
Owner Chad Buck never turned down a request and never sent out an invoice for the goods purchased or services performed. “This gesture is simply a recognition of my debt and deep aloha for this special place and for the loved ones who hanai’d me,” Buck said.
Mayor Richard Bissen presented a certificate of appreciation to Buck on Feb. 29 at the Kalana O Maui Building in Wailuku. Buck was also awarded 2023 Salesperson of the Year by Sales & Marketing Executives Honolulu on June 13 at the Sheraton Waikiki in Honolulu.
Mahalo, Chad Buck and Hawai‘i Foodservice Alliance for your heroic support during our most challenging times.
