Amazing video, I have been getting back into fly fishing after 20 years. This was a big help
As a beginner getting into fly fishing this was so helpful if you could do more of these type of videos it would be amazing thanks again 😊
Will be watching a couple of times. Not because your ability to explain is not clear but because the details is excellent. A lot to absorb.
Tom. I am sure your explanation will make it clearer for lots of fly fishers. Thanks, Tony
Thanks very much. I feel that you explained it well.
Thanks, Tom. Very logical explanation and easy to follow. Tippet rings are such a fantastic addition to the flyfisher's kit.
Thanks, Tom...very helpful and easy-to-follow explanations
11ft 3wt from Syndicate is what I have been using. Got it from Amazon. Nice 4 piece.
Thanks Tom
Trying to learn this fly fishing caper and there are a lot of terminologies to take in.
Thank you for this video.
Love the more technical detail. Thanks Tom
Thanks for putting that together, enjoyed it.
Cheers
Thanks for the video Tom, I’m going to give that a go.
Awesome videos Tom. Are you able to share your leader formula for when you use your own with the maxima chameleon? Or do you have a video on this?
Hey Tom great explanation.
I can see from the thumbnail that you use SA nylon tippet here. Would you also use fluorocarbon here or only when euro nymphing?
Really helpful explanation, thanks
Good one Tom!
That was interesting.
Thanks Tom.
I like the Dry off the tag idea - BUT - it does mean if you decide to fish dry only - you’ll have the nymph dropper line still in tact yeah? Any thoughts on that?
What about an increase chance of tangling you're dry if it's not indirect alignment with your nymph
Thank you Tom for putting this out there. Can I ask so you add the tippet ring to the 9ft leader ? Then add the extra tippet so making it a possibly a total length of 12ft ? I’ve certainly caught more fish this way.
Good question. It depends on the diameter of the "out of the pack" leader you choose and how fine a tippet you wish to tie on below the tippet ring. Clearly, you want the leader to be at its thinnest at the fly. Set it up as Tom has and the section down to the tippet ring should last for ages.
That was the impression I got.
Cripes how quickly did you tie that triple surgeon's? Cor, something to work towards there! :)
Thanks. It's something I always seem to put off. :-(
Nice one Tom! Less chop ,chop , chop and a dry thats free sounds good to me! Onya mate!
