  • BMW's E70 X5 M is the brand's first all-wheel drive M car and uses the same S63 V8 from the "F10" M5 sedan. One of our #HumansOfOutMotorsports friends, Brandon, recently purchased this 2013 BMW X5M and offered Jake the keys. Jake took the #E70X5M around the main circuit racetrack at Summit Point Motorsports Park to see how the #X5M would do on track. The BMW X5 M uses a 4.4 liter, 547 horsepower S63 twin-turbo V8 paired to a ZF 6HP automatic transmission and standard xDrive all-wheel drive.

These can be had for around $30K now, amazing. I'm not an SUV guy but this is making me reconsider.

Looks like a lot of fun! Those brakes must have been begging for fresh fluid and good pads after that session though. :)

Oh, they were. It was so fun and the brakes were SO done by the end of it.

They never put BMW x5M & ML 63 on the same track because they know what M power wil do lol!!!!

That's really awesome, looks like a lot of fun. MBCA had their auto cross at the summit park, last Saturday shame i missed this thing going down the track.

Thank you! They were SUPER stanky when we pulled back in to the paddock, better fluid would mitigate some of the squishy pedal that came up but if someone (for whatever reason) wanted to track one of these with any frequency we’d also recommend a pad upgrade.
