I lived in kapoho, between the beach park and the lighthouse. Until the flow of 2018, when we lost our house and most of our possessions. ( we hoped it would take a different path, plus all storage units were full) I wanted you to know that your take on the area is pretty good. Many, many of our kids bday parties happened in the park. My kids ALL learned to surf there. My youngest cried the first time she saw her old surf spot. And I’m very happy you DID NOT SWIM in the stagnant water. But most of us accept whenever the lava comes. Because without it, there would be no island for us to live on.😁 also thank you both for the work you do. You were very respectful, we appreciate that. Aloha
Thanks for the video. I think when I was on the Big Island in 2007 I went to that black sand beach that was destroyed by the lava flow. Have you been to the Hawaiian Chocolate factory in Kona. It is a lot of fun and the chocolate is delicious.
That’s crazy all that lava and just the sheer power that it has. Also love the local coffee but I have only had Kona
Looked like Cinder had fun!👍
She's having a blast!

Thank you for the kind comment. I'm so sorry you lost your home. I'm sure that was a really hard thing to go through.
When we lived in Sicily on Mt Etna….like Hawaii, dry lava flows everywhere….the roads were made from the lava rock and became very slick in the rain.
I bet if felt like you were living on the moon. It's wild looking!

Not yet but it's on the list! I can't wait to see how it's made up close in person. :) And I'm so jealous you got to go to that beach! :)
What temps are you getting in Hawaii. I looked on Amazon briefly but didn't see any puna coffee for sale. :/ Bummer about the flat. :/ Nice vid.
Thanks! It's 70's and 80's here. Haven't really gotten "hot" - it's just right. And the ocean temps can be warmer than the air on rainy days!
