Wu Jinyan has been absolutely superb in this drama. From start to finish with in the first five minutes I was hooked and actually stopped watching it so I had all the episodes. Now that Netflix had it on their streaming platform it has proper subtitles. Phenomenal show
I cry for Jiang Li, she lost her mother, was abandoned by her own father, was abused, tortured and murdered by girls ' correction facility.
I cry, every drop of tear for her, mourn for her. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

There’s something always off about wu jinyan’s acting
Oh wow really? She delivered a pretty strong performance and was very on point as Xue Fangfei imo! And I say this as someone who has watched her for the first time. She uses her expressive eyes to great effect and can convey so much emotion with her whole body really well. Also noticed that she doesn’t overdo her acting and doesn’t attempt to look pretty in her crying scenes. For the first time, I’ve become a fan of a Cdrama actress. If anything, I think it was the dubbing that sometimes felt a bit off (but it wasn’t bad).
But to each their own, I guess.
She’s one of the best chinese actress when it comes to acting. Recently I've lost interest in cdrama until I watch this because of many untalented young actresses are getting main roles. Calling an actress who has superb acting skills and huge experience like this is the only off thing here🤷🏻♀️
Why? For me this is her best act so far
I already watched 3 dramas starring her and she is so stellar in this one!!!!
