    I love both coins, but my preference on purely esthetic grounds is the gold Buffalo. I absolutely LOVE that design, but I do agree that the Gold American Eagle does have the minor advantages mentioned in the video. I have held both in hand and just enjoyed the look and feel of the Buffalo a wee bit more. Such a fabulous bullion coin and a great tribute to the classic Buffalo Nickel!

    Buffalos are beautiful. The color of the metal and the design are just awesome. Then again the gold eagle is much more sturdy so you can hold it in your hand without a capsule. I say get some of each.

    Have to say the Buffalo slightly edges out the AGE because of its 24kt composition and better overall look.I have found that traveling internationally with these and selling that they are top tier and highly desirable, always gotten well above what I pay when sold abroad

    People are still not getting that the Eagle actually **weighs more** than the Buffalo because of the added copper-silver alloy. That is why it can contain an ounce of pure 24k gold even the though the coin is 22k. Also, the purpose of the added alloy is to greatly increase the **durability** of the coin-that’s the primary reason it is there, not to change the color or to act as a counterfeit deterrent.

  • @dextralsword3618
    @dextralsword3618 Před 4 měsíci

    I am new to stacking but please address these two questions:
    1. When the Eagle and the Buffalo are put on a good quality scale, Is there any weight difference between the two? I suspect the Eagle to actually weigh a little more than the Buffalo, which might make the Eagles posses the full 1oz of 24k gold if melted down. 🤞
    2. Regarding the $50 Gold denomination of the Eagle vs the $1 denomination of the Silver Eagle. I know the Gold to Silver ratio changes, but could 50:1 Silver to Gold ratio be the intended nominal/rational/natural ratio between the two metals?
    I recently bought two 1oz Gold Eagles. I am kinda wishing now I would have purchased one of each. Great video, Thanks.

Only if I catch it it gives me the option to select from a choice of Three words and if it is not an English word in the dictionary it's not automatically correct I still have to choose from the selection of three choices to change the one I typed in before it will not automatically change it based on the correct spelling. I have a nice Motorola smartphone and yes other brands I have never had this problem. And in messages from months past I would spell it out and as I continue typing if it changes I could go back fix it or choose from a previous spelled out word or name and then it would allow me to move on without any auto corrections
