Craps is craps....tend to lose because of my luck....but I notice I hit more if I: bet fair amount on pass on come out, bet small amount on 12 or horn come out....come out done, bet large amount don't come, bet small amounts on each point, wait for the roll and hope or a 2, 3, 4, or 10, and then ride out the wins until a 7 out. The only thing that changes is if a 6 or 8 is the point, max odds. Statistically there are more odds of rolling a 7 so count on it to hit: just math/reality. Field is the worst bet in craps: a mine field.
Also....you said strategies to try, here is one: 3 to 1 don't come. You take 3 of whatever and bet don't pass, get a roll, get a point, bet one unit don't come, get a roll and point number, bet goes against the number for 7, keep doing that until all 6 numbers are bet against or 7 out.

I utilize the field bet just to purchase my other place bets on the 4,9 and 10 and then go from there.
