Ok, I know everyone is talking about her dancing, but I have never heard such a stunning rendition of this music as from the orchestra in the first video, as well as the second. You can tell when the orchestra has their heart into it, and they really did. Bravo!

Fully agree. The music is so peculiar that it sinks into memory from the first time. But the tempo that accompanies Obraztsova's performance is too slow in my opinion.
Larissa is exquisite and dances with charm and perfection as does Aurelie, there’s something almost ‘feline like’ and angelic in their movement, a sheer joy to watch
Dupont here is no match to Lezhnina.
She doesnt hold her movements which kinda is not nice

They're all absolutely amazing! I love this variation.
They are all lovely. And the music has a music box quality to it. So I think this variation is truly an enjoyable one and those who can be playful and lyrical in that sense really make it wonderful. Fun fact...Spiro]idonova was a student of Irina Sitnikova who was in the same Paquita (Pas de Trois) as the Larissa Lezhnina clip.

Aurelie Dupont, full stop. Never mind the infamous quality of the video, we're talking of dance, and she's the only one that gives real flesh and meaning to this variation. Don't get me wrong, the other girls are very gifted dancers (even if here and there they cheat a bit with the choreography), but they stick to the rather boring "fairy" childlike style which might be suitable for sleeping beauty's fairies, but not as befitting for a gypsy girl coming of age story, pushing through the sensuous woman away from childhood. And she's the only one not shying away from the technical difficulties (clean and sustained pirouettes, nice control of unusual poses and port de bras..)
I couldn't agree more. About her stunning port de bras, the thing is that, when she danced this variation, it was included in a digest of Raymonda, which explains the difference with the original choreography. And it's divine.

This variation is from Le Pavillion D' Armide, which is located in two centuries Baroque and rococo in style. It is sometimes performed as an extra variation within Paquita. Pavillion D'armide was born as a full length ballet, but was shortened to one act by Fokine at the time of Diaghilevs Ballet russes. Originally the style should approach more Sleeping beauty than gypsy dance.
Dupont’s musicality is really stunning but the way she use her outstanding « bas de jambe » make my day. And she put something sexy in it too

I only can see the musicality when i see Aurelie Dupont. Also she is the only one who can do the Variation without changing the tempo in the Music slower for middle part like everybody else do to have time for the steps

Im not sure why everyone talks about larissa and aurelie??? In my opnion aurelie is the hardest to watch cause hef attitudes dont even pass 45..... which isnt even an attitude then and like larissa is just so so(out of the 4 girls)and she doesnt hold anything which is quite annoying like she doesnt hold her attitude and its more a just a transition.
