Plugin Subscriptions Are Stupid

I am an independent CZcams Channel. Nobody funds, supports, sponsors, or controls anything said or done here except me, and I do what I want. because it's fun, and apparently it's still allowed on the inter webs if you just do it.
I would LOVE to hear your thoughts.. I condensed this down and tried to keep the tangents to a minimum for the sake of starting conversation. Let's talk about it.

Look at Adobe they now stated that they can use any design that any user makes with their software any way they want to. Basically letting you agree that copyright on your designs doesn’t apply to them. Wtf 😳
If you use plugins that you don’t own on a project and you want to open that project some years later you’ll need access to that subscription to open up the session again. Also it means that if you have a financial difficult time and have to cancel your subscription, you can’t use it. While you maybe without a job and have plenty of time to create.
I would even go further by rejecting any software that needs a internet connection in order to work, note that there even is hardware that needs a connection to work. The internet of things, we even have ‘smart meters’ which can be remotely switched off. People are asleep 💤💤💤

I will never, ever rent software. I'm happy to pay for value, but having money extracted from me slowly and indefinitely is an absolute no-go. If a plugin requires an ilok, I will almost certainly ignore it, and if I just can't live without it, I'll buy it but use a crack. This has happened precisely once and probably won't happen again.
Get hardware, use stock plugins, donate to the people making free plugs.
