"Hey Page we're gonna play a Ski Resort"
Page: "I have just the sweater"
Always My Favorite Phish. The Early Days!
Hippies in tie dyes and short sleeves. Page in a cable knit sweater like he just got off a yacht. Beautiful.
He's from basking ridge nj, where old money preppy was invented
@@david-fe8cu Oh yeah. Phish couldn't have come from any place other than New England. Perfect place, perfect time. I don't know how much parental financial support they got during their Genesis, but they probably didn't pay their own tuition I'm guessing. Prep school hippies.
I’m not sure about the other guys, but trey was definitely a trust fund kid
Classic Connecticut (good ole days)
my 2nd show….was there w/ a buddy from rugby and my girlfriend. well she was my girlfriend, but now she’s my wife of 30+ years.
long strange wonderful trip
Congrats on your relationship. And can you find your younger self in any crowd shots in this video?
@@BAGOFROCKS thanks! i did look, but havent found us in the crowd. i remember being up on the hill, not down front.
I first heard of Phish almost exactly a year after this. A high school friend played Fee for me. I was hooked immediately.
We were in his car on a country road and I remember exactly where. I didn’t know how big of a role they’d play in my life though.
37:21 that transition from Dinner to Bouncing was insane!
Damn, i was only 16, and had no clue these guys even existed, and lived less than an hour from this place. I wanna go back in time.
This video is absolutely fascinating. What an interesting time capsule of Phish’s early days. Hard to believe how much has changed in over 30 years!
I was there! I totally forgot about this show.
History in the making! So awesome.
I'm so glad you posted this. I love this concert
Love how during the YEM jam... Trey is just like ... "Aight, i dont care, im turning my amp up even though we discussed and agreed to all be at a reasonable volume level" and then just proceeds to shred an insane Machine gun Trey solo
Woodbury ski and racquet club in Connecticut? I was there…😁
what a little gem of a video, thanks so much for posting,❤
Just loving the dancing of the crowd!
One thing that definitely has NOT changed: the way the kids dance and shake their bones! (Insert your favorite Peanuts character dance.)
But this is a gem amongst gems! Listening to Trey on that Gibbon! And then to hear the rest of the fellas: f’n unbelievable! From playing in front a few hundred to a few hundred thousand…a phenomenon, if you will. 💜✨
The dancing, not so much! 😉😂
Beautiful
Groovy
really good possum here
such a fun show
Wow!!
Ty
Thanks Okie!!!
The good ole days
if that's not experimental, nothing is; lol just think of this being around the same time as Nirvana lol
The Grateful Dead and Black Sabbath. Same difference! Rock n roll has no poster child. If it did, it would be Little Richard. Let that one sink in.
Actually have this on VHS
If you’ve been around the boys for a minute, it seems like this may have been a lot of our first legged video 🤡🤣🤷
yep! for sure! remember hooking up the VCR's instantly when I met a kid in my dorm my first year in college with this hahaha! Couldn't wait to go back home and show it off to all my boys!
Poor Sue.
Mike playing without a plectrum.
If they had known the number of lives they would change...
