The more I listen to this song (for me hundreds of times) the more I'm impressed by the sound that Tuomas is creating with the backing track dominated by the London Philharmonic Orchestra (Thomas Bowes/James Shearman) and supported by the Metro Voices choir and directed by Pip Williams.

@Critical Reacts: Actually, you have that reversed: Nightwish has many varying styles of songs, not because of Floor singing them, but because of Tuomas' compositional genius. His grand vision, as it were, for what he writes is why Nightwish has had 3 main vocalists. Floor was, at the time, the "missing piece of the puzzle," as it is her talent and vocal capability that finally allowed Tuomas' music, and his vision, to be realized. And you know this, when you see glimpses of Tuomas looking at Floor and smiling, his facial expression being one of, "This is exactly what this is supposed to sound like! This is exactly what I heard in my head when I wrote this!" It is him realizing that he found a singer to bring his creations fully to life -- thus, the listener can actually get the fullness of Tuomas' compositions, and get the fullness of the meaning and intent behind each piece. It is icing on the cake that Floor has the ability to throw in her own accentuations and little vocal additions to make these grand, epic songs that much better.
This is by no means my favourite Nightwish song, but this live performance and the one at Buenos Aires 2012 always blow me away. Flawless musicianship from the entire band and what more is there to say about Floor's stellar performance? 🇬🇧🤘🤘

Nightwish found Floor, and Floor found Nightwish, and it was a match made in Symphonic Metal heaven.

One of my favorite performances of all time! And did you notice that the audience actually became the additional chorus of performers? Phenomenal! Thank you also for bringing it to my attention how similar that “pocket” of the performance was to the sound of MUSE,…another favorite group of mine.
The guitar is a signature and can be ordered through the Custom Shop as an ESP EV-I or EV-II. EV=Emppu Vuorinen. When he forgot them for a video shoot, he had to buy a white one on the spot. I can only think of the End of an Era concert where he used them and only rarely. Presumably he later replaced it with the EV-II, or it replaced both: 7. Unlike other symphonics, Nightwish has never given a live concert with an orchestra. Yay, more Nightwish please. They record with members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra as well as London City Choir, & Childrens Choir for different accents in songs, so sometimes it is going through Tuomas and sometimes the backing tracks as it is not practical to tour with an entire orchestra.

You do you and know some appreciate the natural flow. As far as the three singers and their styles, it is i.portant to remember Floor joined in 2013 and those Waxken songs are all incredible "covers". If you come forward to Tampere and Wembly 2015+ you will find new songs written for and recorded by Floor. Shudder Before the Beautiful, Elan, Yours is an Empty Hope, Alpenglow are all hers.

It's a great song to introduce someone to Nightwish but not one to stop at. There are loads of better Nightwish songs. It doesn't help that before Floor, this song had no conclusion, it just fizzled out, it was incomplete, this is the best version of it
