The commercial is about a family that cannot decide between soft or hard shell tacos. So she says "Why not both?" because el paso is advertising a home made taco kit with both kinds of tortillas.
Both types of shells is the ONLY correct way to eat a taco. FITE ME.

So I'm curious, does that mean she was so engaged in the conversation that she didn't know where the straw was, or that her peripheral vision betrayed her and she didn't see the straw where it actually was?

Why why *why* do I relate to Barbara so much with the texting issue?
Recently, a group chat my friend had started for our group of close friends from high school disbanded due to a heated argument between him (the person who started the group chat) and another member. It wasn't actually about homophobia, or a racial joke, but actually a political discussion that evolved into a discussion about cultural assimilation and what's normal vs. weird.
I started the group chat up again and even though the group was very divided about the issue (esp. because the argument/discussion occurred at 3am on a early Tuesday morning), we were able to resolve over it and agree that we should just avoid those kinds of discussions so that we don't end up with that heated a situation.
Guess the moral I'm trying to present is that if the first Box of Issues person really is friends with that group, that they'll all be able to compromise in some kind of way and keep their chat alive. Friendships are strong bonds; I don't think dirty jokes/dark humor is worth the loss of good friends

That question was silly to even ask these guys. They are ultra leftist career victims. Those guys don't find humor in anything that might even tangentially trigger their victimhood.
Well why is it silly? The point of asking a question on the show is for these people on the show to answer with their honest opinions and then discuss the issue in podcast-style manner.
Let alone the original purpose of a question being to get an answer; maybe they just wanted to ask these guys their question so that they can get an answer from a source outside of their friend circle.

This show is pretty much an adult women’s sleepover. I love it.
I think that if someone is being used as a punchline in a joke, and it upsets them, the humour is no longer there. It's difficult to say using someone for a joke isn't right, because I poke fun at my own friends all of the time and they do the same to me and that's okay. But when it gets to a point where you're poking fun at someone and they don't like it or are offended by it, it's not okay anymore.

i do agree with what they said on the facebook thing part, if people are uncomfortable with with what you are saying, then maybe you should consider changing your actions. but i do think that people get offended WAY too easily these days and i'm just glad that i'm part of a friend group/class (in school) who are all meme lords and don't get offended by any sort of joke. and there's many of us there.
