Margaery is well aware of how to play the game of thrones. Her grandmother Lady Olenna Tyrell has taught her well.
Say what you want about Margaery, she went from having a crossbow pointed at her at the beginning to holding the crossbow and knowing how to use it by the end of the scene. The writing of that scene was fantastic.
