Have you ever contemplated rescuing any animals from a shelter? My horse riding instructor saved a colt from a bad situation, the lady who previously owned him didn't know what she was doing with any of her horses, and my instructor saw great potential in him. When the lady owned him, he was abused by someone she knew and he lost trust in people. Today we worked with him to get him used to human touch, we can touch him nearly all the way on his left side but the farthest I got with him today on his right side was about mid- back. Mind you this is after months of work, when my instructor and her husband first got the colt he wouldn't get near any of us. Next summer we plan on getting him used to riding tack (saddle, reins, breast collar, etc.) So we can condition him for riding, and yes he will be 2 by the time next summer rolls around. For those unfamiliar with horses it is illegal to begin conditioning a horse for riding before it is 2 years old, this is in place to prevent horses getting hurt or get injuries that will stay until the end of a horse's life. The colt is much happier now and will now even approach us when we arrive.
With how small their acreage is, they are only allowed a limited number of livestock animals. I think rescuing is a great idea..most of my animals are rescues.. but pets such as horses and cattle wouldnt be allowed on their property. Too small :)
Horse Topic it wasn't necessarily directed for them to rescue a horse or other large livestock. The story was just my experience with a similar situation like rescuing and meant as an example.

For the tarps over the pool....you should get some canvas tarp washer gromets. Make a very small hole in the center of the tarps and install one. This way when it rains it will drain. No excess weight on the tarps

Do cauliflower “rice” with a bit of butter and grated cheese on top. It’s delish. Steam cauliflower then crumble with fork. Add butter add cheese and cover so cheese melts. Family fave!

Hahahaha🤪I am “blessed” to have a Creative-Scrounger for a husband too❣️ Currently he has collected numerous discarded (collected from the dump) tents and pieces of tents with plans to rebuild parts from each to be able to put together ONE COMPLETE useable tent! In the meantime there are a dozen piles of tent parts laying around on the ground! What I don’t get about my hubby’s logic is...we live on 36 gorgeous acres in the Oregon forest with a creek and spring...why would you need to go camping anywhere???? 😳

An idea for growing potatoes, put all the used chicken bedding in one pile then after a break of a couple/few months plant your spuds and they grow like crazy. Also you don't have to dig them up you just work your hand into the loose bedding and pull out just the ones you want and let the others keep growing. Works great in Illinois don't know how well it will in Arizona though.

Yeah I'm excited for the goat birth videos. What really got me into this channel initially was videos about preparing for goat births, the births themselves, and early kid care. As somebody who's gonna have some goats soon, and plans to breed them and build a fairly large herd over time with their babies, any little bit of knowledge I can glean from new videos, is really worth its bytes in gold.
Kevin, that cut over your heel area is still angry and red looking. Think about keeping an elastoplast over it when you're scuttling around in goat poop then leave it bare when you're indoors for the night so it can heal properly. I appreciate your efforts to rehab broken crap into a second use. Too much is sent to landfill just because they're not shiny and perfect anymore.
