Murray needs credit for helping Joyce without even hesitating. She's motivated by love for Hopper but Murray helped with really not much in it for him.

I've never screamed KISS HER so loud in my life when they reunited. My gut tells me it's going to happen; I mean, his confessional scene pretty much low key confirms he's in love with her, but he is just scared to admit it because he is afraid of losing her 🥺😭🤧

I thought that Murray and Joyce’s friendship is so interesting in st4. She wanted to go to Russia to save Hopper, and without much hesitation Murray was on a flight to Alaska with her, knowing that it might cost him his life. I like the bond between them (reminds me of a sibling/familial bond) and I love that it’s shows how men and women could be in a ride-or-die platonic relationship.
but i have a feeling Murray would sacrifice his life in pt 2. Naurr!

Yes!! I agree. I love their friendship and how brave Murray was to go with her. And he's so badass! They both are.
I genuinely sat there, jaw dropped at how much better this was than the last 2 seasons. I couldn't believe that I was that it was as good as it was. Some story lines could go, but by E.6 I was 1000% in. Crazy.

@@funkunko S3 wasn't bad, but it was certainly the weakest season. I think the whole neon-80s vibe ruined the orginal feel of the show, and I'm glad they actually dropped that aesthetic for S4.
Also the russian storyline just felt so weird. Having a full blown soviet base of operation during the cold war and with noone except a bunch of kids noticing AND sneaking in? Does not make any sense at all. I especially disliked the whole russian-terminator v Hopper thing, just felt really out of place.
It was also by far the least scary. The most bloody, but least scary. Running from a CGI flesh monster has been done before and removes the mystery from season 1 and 2.
I still liked the season, don't get me wrong, but it is the weakest one in my opinion.
Season 4 part 1 was easily one of the greatest masterpiece in television history I can't wait for part 2.

Fam Stranger Things is the best thing to happen to Netflix. Yeah I enjoyed Daredevil and Ozark but this show is the cream of the crop.

I loved Murray’s character. His was so funny alongside Joyce. I love their old school names as well ☺️
Winona makes the whole entire show amazing. I think her character is very misunderstood, she is kind, very generous and beautiful.

I truly hope we will get more scenes of Joyce and Hopper together. They are perfect together, last season proved it.
I cried for hopper 9 TIMES. while binge watching it for over 8 hours. But EVEN THE GOSH DANG PEANUT BUTTER MADE ME CRY. I was like grabbing on to my mother screaming when they reunited. My mom got mad at me but I was so happy. My mom laughed at me a lot, but I was seriously was like CRYING SO HARD, TEARS DRIPPING DOWN MY FACE. 9 TIMES. I WAS ALWAYS JUST CRYING, EVERY SCENE WITH HOPPER. I cried almost the most when he was talking about how he was cursed. But I still cried the most when they reunited. It was just… I can’t describe my happiness! I can’t wait for the second half :D

I really love the comment about Murray and Joyce growing close with their shared loss of Alexei and Hopper. I recognized his getting close to humanity again and wanting to keep that going with his friend Joyce who he can trust, but I didn’t realize the shared experience / trauma / grief piece of it like they said here. How awesome.

the thing I love most is that David looks so excited and proud of the Hopper in Russia scenes! Like you can see his face just light up when he's talking about them. I also know that the makeup/special effects team had rubber feet made for him but he refused to wear them for most of the scenes. He went through a lot for the role, especially after gaining weight for Black Widow and then losing it really quickly for Stranger Things, that would've been a really short amount of time to do that and I don't blame Winona for being worried about him.

I was enjoying watching their playing this season. They are so great! I look forward to waiting for the last episodes. And I like all these Russian scenes (as a Russian immigrant myself ))). It was impressive and surprisingly accurate.

Gelman was definitely in the loop of getting MDE canned. I had a hard time looking at him for that in the other seasons. I finally came to terms with separating the actor from his work. Dude did great in this season and Sam his still Sam and he will never die in my eyes.
