My grandparents emigrated to South Africa from Belfast in 1902. All my life I have studied the history and social structures of the Northern Irish and read "Angela's Ashes". In my retirement I have been painting. I enjoy your frank tutorials very much.

This is the first time I have seen you paint and really enjoyed it. So many times during the demo, I found myself nodding my head in agreement with so many of your comments. As a Northern Irish based painter, I loved the subject and will definitely have a go myself. Well done

Rocks/stonework is a challenge I struggle with tremendously.
Especially in waterfalls or coastal ocean stuff as well.
Sadly seascapes are my favorite subject, but avoid to many rocky scenery just because my lack of confidence.
Truly is maddening for me😢
Anyway hopefully it’ll click by watching enough of your tutorials!😅

I wish i had the photo my mum had of her as a little girl in Ireland. I can picture it in my head. The cottage was exactly like this. She lived with her grandmother..a long story ..your painting is beautiful

It turned out wonderful, but the sheet is too long, and looks bent. It distracts from your painting.
