I wish the writers would have done this completely differently! Like Lola terminated a pregnancy that was Jay’s before because of where Ben was at the time. I wish they would have had her get pregnant again and then find out about her cancer well into the pregnancy. So she’d forego treatment for what was going to be a terminal illness anyway in order to carry the child full term and save the child. Jay would lose Lola (like he already is now) but a piece of her would live on through the child they created together. Lexi would have a sibling, and Jay would have some what of a bittersweet ending to his one true love in life because we all know it’s really truly only ever been Lo for him. It’d be sad but yeah, for all the crap thrown at him his entire life he deserves something good in his life. I think it would be even more bittersweet if he would have that piece of Lo and then be blessed enough to find another great true love and be able to accept it because his love for Lola would live on through his love for their child. I get soaps need drama and so bad things have to keep happening and all that but seriously, I feel like he’s never had a break. I can’t think of any time where Jay hasn’t gotten the short end of the stick. He’s been treated unfairly like he’s not part of the family whenever it suited everyone else, and he’s not had the support he deserved when he needed it, and he’s never been able to be happy and have something good without it getting ripped away from him. Maybe I’m wrong and forgetting some things but, he deserves much more in life than what he’s been dealt. Anyway, I’ll stop rambling, just makes me so mad!

We’ve known since what, last fall-ish or earlier (can’t remember exactly) that they were going to kill off her character. I honestly thought she wasn’t going to be making it into the new year when it was first announced. But it’s been a while already and now she’s got roughly 6 months. All I’m saying is in that time they could have written a much better and bigger storyline. One that honors her long time character on the show, and one that would give something better to Jay, because like I said, the poor guy just gets dealt a crap hand at every turn in life.

Unfortunately, soap opera actors are very stigmatized and seen as bad. It's very difficult for a soap actor to get a job after he leaves the show. Tony is very talented and deserves more opportunities.
No one comforted Callum he just cried in the corner alone he is still an outsider to Mitchell family. Callum & Emma were distressed and no one approached to comfort them. Instead the other four turned to support each other. Ben, Lola, Jay, & Lexi are family their bond is very close. But Callum is too nice of a guy to ever be a Mitchell. I know just thinking out loud but they saw Callum clearly upset but ignored him. No one hugged him no one comforted Callum. Because Callum like Emma are still outsiders of the Mitchell family. Even though Callum around longer than Emma he isn't really a Mitchell. I think Callum new storyline is a test to see where his loyalty really is. I think writers foreshadowing not just Lola death but Callum will sense he needs to make a change do something in next couple months that will shock audience and Mitchell family.

But Lola insisted … so they had ben and Lola - Lexi’s PARENTS surrounding her while Lola said she had 6 months or so to live. Jay was of course supporting Lola having to tell her child she’s going to die cause she’s his wife and ben went to support jay cause he’s going to have to watch Lola die & he’s his brother and best friend. Callum will be ok 🤣. I love him but he wasn’t the one who needed comforting when Ben’s CHILD was there being told her mom is going to die.
