Sorry but photographers don't care if their card can still be used after being put under the water, but they care if the "photos taken before" the submersion are still readable...

I just dropped my Lexar Professional 128GB in a bucket of water, and i quickly took it out, wiped it gently and put it in front of a fan. I didn't have much data on it, except a few photos I just took and before I could see them on the computer, i wanted to check if the usb connector would show it on my phone, but then i went near the water, with the phone and whoops. Wish me luck .. Update, it worked! Thank you for this video, to give me confidence to try it. I was depressed.
Probably it will be OK if it was sufficiently dry before inserting into the camera (and it was not salt water or fresh water containing many contaminants). >Mark
Dear friend, the Sandisk website says micro sd card may withstand upto 72 hours. After that what will happen to the card....??? I had lost my card (10 year old 2gb) before 2 weeks in a heavy rainy season.any chance to work the micro sd card if I found it....???

Do the cards retain their data after being submerged?
The Sandisk card and the Fujifilm cards retained their data. The Wi-Fi card was corrupted. >Mark

One SanDisk ultra micro sd card of mine dropped in water .now It works. But will it damage in future??

i tried this at home my sd card is working 🎉🎉🎉
i accidentally left my sd card in my washing mashine. hopefully it still works.
It will just get all the soap off it so it can read good with a static free cloth

There's always a chance if the card was not physically mutilated or destroyed. Let us know if it works when you find it.. >Mark
