I always watch all the fights and keep repeating watching most especially during The lockdowns during the Pandemic. It is so exciting and keep me away from boredom. It motivates me to keep my mind and body strong.
In my honest opinion Pacquiao is GREATER than M. ALI, way greater than MAYweather Jr.
He's Asian/Filipino and fighting outside his comfort zone. Imagine if he's AMERICAN.
Started at 106 lbs, world Lineal champion at 112 lbs, still 147 lbs world champion at age 42.
IMO..Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson are close tie in no. 1 spot..2nd is M. Ali.
Pac only started at flyweight, because he was 4"11 and 16. Floyd was a flyweight too, when he was 16. Pac wasnt even the best flyweight, he was tkoed in the unification fight after missing weight. He then stopped starving himself, and jumped straight to 122. Pac wasnt that small, he said himself he walked around at 150lbs, and cut to make weight when he was at 122. Also pac lived and trained in California during most of his career, he wasnt "out of his comfort zone". He wanted to come to america.

23:17 Oh man, I pitty Barrera, at that point the fight may have been already lost inside. It must be really tough to hear this from your corner: "Don't go toe to toe with him yet, not yet! That is what he wants, and we are not doing that". Especially for a warrior like Barrera, to get ask to not trade punches because he will likely lose/ get the worst of it, and instead keep jabbing and moving around (dodging/avoiding). I gotta admit that perhaps it was the best estrategy, but easier said than done, how could you not answer back with a stronger punch of your own after you got a solid hit to the face.
Right...and this drove Pacquiao frustrated too, seeing Marco being methodic. Pacquiao wanted to trade also but when Marco is on boxing mode Pac becomes cautious. From time to time we see them heat up but when they get back to their corners they get asked to box. Very awkward to see both of them cold in the ring. Imagine Barrera and Pacquiao "boxing"...

Slo mo replay was invented to see all the punches manny landed foreal. So many times i watched his fights in slow replay and shocking how many shots were not counted because he was so fast and landing punches from angles. Simply amazing actually
Barrera fought scared in this match. That'ts why pacquiao can't hit him that much. Unlike in the 1st fight, Barrera are engaging and not scared, and in result he got beaten badly. And in the other hand, Commentators was a joke. Lol
Scared ?? No he fought smart !!! When you go a whole training camp with a plan you go in and execute it and anyone with eyes can see he came back and exchanged with heart throughout the whole fight . You can tell he wanted to exchange more but he was being disciplined and reminded by his corner

This fight was a little closer than I originally remember. Pac won handedly, but Barrera had his moments. He had the right game plan but not enough punch output to cement it. Respect to both fighters.
Utterly baffling that a commentator had it "a draw leaning barrera". He fought incredibly well but if you hadn't watched the massacre of their first fight you'd have this at LEAST 116-111 for Manny (with extra point deduction).
Can you give the timestamp for that comment from the announcers. I heard nothing of the sort and I've watched the fight a few times.
For me Manny didn't do enough to win this fight. Barrera may have lost it on that penalty point he lost for hitting on the break in round 11, however apart from that he was too experienced and too disciplined and I think he deserved a draw.

Barrera put up decent numbers, landing 172 of 547 (31%- 16 punches landed per round) total punches.

Except not really. Manny was a heavy favorite at 3-1. 2-1 in a championship fight with two fighters of this caliber is lopsided. 3-1 is unheard of. Manny was a heavy favorite. Keep in mind that their first fight was a lopsided victory (not that this one wasn't, but #1 even more so.) for P.

Barrera was a great fighter but past it at this point. The fire just wasn't there, yet he still had his moments just like most greats. His win over Naseem Hamed was his defining fight. He was masterful in that fight. 3 epic go's with Morales were one of the best Trilogies ever IMO.

idk about miles above but I have mentioned in other videos in the past that this is the true 2nd coming of the 4 Kings (I've seen people talk about the Lightweight division today w/ Teo, Loma, Tank, Haney, and Ryan Garcia as a potential 2nd coming but so far, only Teo and Loma have faced each other).
Between 2002 and 2008, Pacauiao, Marquez, Barrera, and Morales fought each other 10x in 2 separate divisions. That doesn't even include Barrera and Morales' bout in 2000 and Pacquiao and Marquez in 2011 and 2012. Compared to the 4 Kings era in the 80s, they only fought each other 9x in a 9 year span.
