- I don't necessarily care if this really fits for the zone or not, but I did try with gameplay, and it works.
The thing with Death Egg Zone's music (for me) is that they've got way too short of a loop to keep me going through the acts. It's great still, and I can at least bear the short loop, but this is more of a very, very minor nitpick if anything.
Directly inspired by Atomic Destroyer Act 2 from Sonic Triple Trouble 16-bit and Savaged Regime's Stereo Protect (from Pulseman) arrange, I decided to make this an EDM? rave tune? I haven't tackled this genre in ages please help me. Excuse the plagiarism if you think that's what it is, I'm very much aware that this is pretty derivative off other things. Even if nothing is original, that doesn't excuse anything that I did. I just wanted to write a little somethin'-somethin'. I used an older composition titled, "The Toilet Lock Is Stuck" and retooled it here, since I actually thought it'd be pretty sick to give it a sort-of-reboot.
Got exams cominng up next week, so this is going to be the final upload for a while. It lasts for approx. over a week, so I'll return to writing music once I'm done. Maybe I'm planning on continuing my Freedom Planet 2 playthrough? You'll know when I'm back, is what it is, lol

i think it's more of a high pass. because i hear the higher frequencies before the lower ones
this is so much more tense than the actual death egg, and its futuristic edm-ish nature fits the zone SO WELL, but still has that spark of hope that can be seen as overused but always work so well with final levels. and damn that atmosphere hits different

this sounds more like if the death egg was just a typical level as opposed to a final zone but it’s a cool twist! would love to see an act 2

hey, after reading a few comments of yours and this description, i just wanted to let you know that people don't really intend to say you're plagiarizing anything when they point out similar melodies in songs. it's usually just fun to find songs that are similar to other songs you enjoy, and it's just the nature of songwriting within a genre (there aren't really an infinite amount of ways to make notes that also *sound good*). this song's great by the way!
Oh yeah I know all these things too well, just wanted to be as transparent as possible in case if some listeners were to think this way. I write/arrange music, people like it; it's just that simple. Borrowing melodies and throwing it all together to create something new is technically transformative, but at the same time I know that sometimes people think of what I do as "bad", or something I guess.

I don't know, it's incredible, because perhaps originality is not "doing something", but "how to do" that something.
This has gotta be one of the best Sonic songs, unofficial or official, to ever graze this earth, I love this track way too much.
This is a really good one here. The insturments and the effects really give the Electronic and Mechanical vibe which fits Death Egg. For some reason i can't fit this (and most of your S&K Alt themes) into a Classic Sonic Game level. You have a different style and i like it.

As much of a banger of a house music track as that missile headed towards Sonic is in the thumbnail. That's gonna be a lot of Rings lost, but I could get lost listening to this track for hours. Great job, it certainly matches the tension and feel of the Death Egg perfectly. The nods to Atomic Destroyer in the composition style are excellent, and (considering your work on the fangame) an amazing way to tie it forwards to that game's events. 10/10, an S-Rank of a track by far!

I was not expecting to open this up and for it to go THIS HARD, the intro is so beautiful and the rest of it has a sorta energy I tend to vibe with in music, basically this is good I like!
I feel very nostalgic listening to this as this sounds like something I have heard in the 2010's and closely familiar to MasterJace's FM arrangements.

This sounds really good I think it may fit death egg zone better than the original. However, the original gave off more EGGMAN vibes. This one sounds more futuristic. Which is great, but I do think the music should be more eggman fitting. Just so then it gives us the feeling that this is eggmans base. This is still an amazing piece. I love it a lot and it sounds very good.
This be quite nice - does mean that Woofle's LBZ alternate mixes would no longer connect but that's a natural consequence. Perhaps a remix of those themes could connect to this instead?

Very cool and unique song. It has a certain determined tone to it that says "you're in the last level". I really like it.
The intro and the buildup after is just mmmmmmmmm so good. Overall it’s great! I really like this edm techno style of music and want to figure out how to do it kinda like this in the future

i really like this rendision of death egg, but the main part that i liked about the original was the bass.
If Death Egg was a zone in modern sonic, this would be it's theme (cd quality).
