The most underrated defender in the 21st century. Imagine if he played for united, liverpool or even barca or real. He would be considered one of the greatest CBs. Definitly our best CB we ever had and probably will ever have

Ledley King was a Rolls Royce of a footballer - a real Spurs legend. It would be great to have more of these murals near the stadium - Gary Mabbutt would be the player I would choose next.

He came to my sons school (Highlands) around 2010 to do a prize giving. What a humble nice.mam As a Spurs player, captain and ambassador he is an absolute legend he has Spurs DNA through and through.

Legendary. Met him when I was younger and got to see him score against Mexico at Wembley for England. He’s the image of Tottenham. From a youth player for us, to a first eleven player, to Captain, to club ambassador, to assistant coach he is Tottenham. Shame that if it weren’t for injuries he’d be seen as one of the best ever prem CBs with Rio, Vidic, Terry etc. Regardless at his best he was ridiculously good and is one of the best players I’ve seen play for Tottenham.
Just about the only game that Ledley and Jonathan Woodgate played together we beat Chelsea at Wembley. If only. On technical ability, Ledley is comfortably the best CB of the past 30-40 years.

Had a fantastic opportunity to meet and train with Lesley King this week at the Tottenham Hotspur training ground. All I can say is that he is a great coach and a true gentleman. Deserves to be a Legend!

Still my second favourite player ever for Spurs. Gazza gets first spot for me but only because he was so a greatly interactive with supporters, bought me a couple of beers and he remembered me each time; the first beer he bought me was for my 13th birthday, he still remembered me when we met 17 years later!
Thumbs up to that. I loved Gazza but he only stayed for two seasons so Gary Mabbutt for me.
@J S I went to his Testimonial match, we played Newcastle. We lost. It was my first game, my 13th birthday. What I remember of it, it was great. I miss the Lane.

Absolute legend you are king Ledley, they should name the south stand ‘the ledley king stand’ loved by the fans, players and everyone connected to our great club, even though you could not train as much because of the problems with your knees, that being said, it just shows how good you we’re carrying injuries throughout your career and still being one of the best central defenders around, it’s only right that your a ambassador at our great club, keep it up King Ledley COYS

Never has a man's surname ever been so apt.
This is why King is a Spurs legend, he stayed true to the one club who had his back and he never left his teammates off and on the pitch. If only there was more players like King.
Don't forget he scored the fastest goal in premier league in year 2000 that stood for over 18 years (until 2019). It was just in 9.82 sec. Definitely a legend for the club.

as a young aspiring footballer I used to call him led head because he simply dominated in the air the word legend gets banded about easily but it fits this man perfectly even after injury finally beat him in his career he has gone on to represent not only everybody attached to the club but his family and friends with such pride and humility in my opinion top 5 cbs of all time simply different class 👏

I’m a Liverpool fan so got no skin in the game, but after Rio Ferdinand King was the next English best defender of his generation above Terry at his peak. Like Ferdinand he was the complete defender.

Another case where you could say the word legend gets used far too often. Ledley really was a legend. Quickest ever goal in the premier league for years until 2 or 3 years ago is good considering he was a defender. Also he is a really nice person of the field.

Hoddle the king of white Hart Lane. There's so many grate players you could put one on every house. Dave Mckay, Jimmy greaves, John chiedozie, Graham Roberts. The list goes on. Maybe have a revolving screen with the teams.?
