Just don't know what to do and we ask God. What now? How can we go on. Discovering that we are in his hands and he will carry us through. He lost his spark for music and all but given up I pray this song will touch him as it has me and give him hope to go on and lean on our heavenly father.

I think I’ve waited to hear this song since I was 6 years old. I lost my oldest brother(18), oldest of 8 children on Christmas night, 1976. Also killed in that tragedy were his 16 yr old girlfriend and his 18 yr old best friend. It was a negligible explosion at his workplace after hours, due to a deadly combination of a little after work horse play, spilled paint and gas fumes caused an explosion after the pilot light ignited the hot water tank that was in the same unvented, enclosed room as they were in. However, even though my father was Deputy Fire Chief at the time, this information was withheld from all of the families involved. Only to be found out many years later on our own. To this day, I honestly feel that our family truly hasn’t been able to know how to grieve the loss of them bc we just had to hide our feelings bc the whole story was hidden under a dirty mat at the ice rink/Community center where my brother worked. Not to mention, we live right across from the rear of the rink where the incident occurred and they have never publicly recognized their deaths, nor memorialized them to this day. No one born past 1980 even really knows anything about it. The only known documentation of the incident are the actual newspaper articles from the day after the incident. Had there been therapy back in the 70’s, we would’ve been ok, but without it we depended on the structure of our parents and we did excel and do very well for ourselves. But, we all do suffer from some form of anxiety and or depression. We are extremely hilarious people and I now think we used that as a coping mechanism throughout the years in order to cope with such a huge loss. My parents. What can I say there? Absolutely kicked the wind right out of them and that I can remember at 6 yrs old. The youngest was almost 2, an accidental pregnancy after a tubal ligation. Oh how God works in mysterious ways!! Had my mom not had my younger sister to take care of, she may not have been the strong woman she was for 78 years. I was already in school, so my mom definitely needed a baby at that time in her life to keep her mind occupied, there is no heavenly doubt in my mind about it!! So thank you for sharing this song!!
