    thanks, just a quick note however. you say slash when you use a backslash.
    in windows directories are organised with backslashes
    in linux directories are organised with slashes

    To move file again to test folder from desktop.why we went to c folder from desktop folder.
    We could directly move from desktop folder?

    thanks a lot man you are so great! but can please tell me how someone can create a notepad from the instructions that have been just carried out on command prompt. I mean you can simply do an ALT +PrtScr to have ready for the paste either into a WordPad or paint program. any one can help me on that please??

    You can Creater .txt file by using Command "Copy Con [File Name].txt" then type what you want inside the .txt file or hit Control+Z if you're done.

    sir, copy command doesn't work if the filename has a space in it. it is printed that the file doesn't exist. what to do ?

    you were working in the c drive whole time if i am willing to change my directory to D drive or any other harddisc partition then my command will be "cd d:\"_______is it right????????????

    Thanks for the awesome tutorial, mate! I have a small query. When I attempt to delete the test folder I get the following response
    C:\users\desktop\testfolder\*, Are you sure ?
    So I entered however, the file was not deleted . Please advise and thanks again.

      Are you sure you are using the command "rd" (remove directory) instead of "del" (delete). The del command deletes files inside the folder while the rd command deletes the folder/directory. That is how I think it is at least. :)
