M Shadows is the singer, Synyster Gates is the badass guitar player
I caught that to, hey shit happens but good on you to point it out
Good catch homie!!
I love how this song does a total 180!
Avenged sevenfold-Afterlife. Make sure this is the proper 5 Minute one and not the radio version❤️😀
Ruan Singh Yes please!
Yessssss =3 i agree most reactions are doing the video and the video cuts the fecking solo :(
Yes
Finally got your wish
Critical Acclaim by A7X is a great patriotic song, one of my favs
Watchful Wolf hell yeah! I love the pro-America lyrics
The live version when you see REV sing his part is just amazing and heartbreaking at the same time
the live version cuts out the good parts of the song though
That song Live in LBC please
Yeah one of my favs too
React to avenged sevenfold: a little piece of heaven
i second this
Would make for an interesting discussion.....I think..... 😐😂
Yup
Sergio Marquez i third this
Oh please yes
Avenged Sevenfold - M.I.A
I second this
5th
6th
7th
Always tear up towards the very end.
I'm excited to see Chapter Four Avenged here, such a good song.
Good job guys! Hugs from Brazil.
I think this song is about people that live their lives in evil while pretending to themselves and others that they are good , hence the part : "Evil thoughts can hide , I'll release the mind , I'll peel away the skin ! Release the dark within!"
The entire nightmare album is kickass you guys should definitley check out afterlife or hail to the king
I mean, and hail to the king:)
Avenged Sevenfold are my favourite band of all time and my favourite album by them is Nightmare 😍 all of their albums are masterpieces, but Nighmare is just something else! ❤❤❤
Avenged Sevenfold - I won't see you tonight pt 1&2. Part one was my favorite until The Stage came out, and I've been following them since Sounding the Seventh (their first album). I believe i read somewhere that it was about their former bassist who had problems with suicidal depression, but i can't seem to find where i read it so i might be wrong. The song does deal with some deep shit though, and all together, its beauty and complexity is top notch. I think you guys will really enjoy listening to it and am interested to hear any insights you have/what you take away from it.
This song was composed for Justin Sane due to his attempts to commit suicide, this included when he was a member of the band, they removed him from the band due to the stress and upset it was causing them. That is the meaning. - Reddit post (super reliable source XD) not the first place i've read it though. I'll see if i can find more reliable source
Part 1 is awesome but part 2 is probably one of their worst songs in their entire collection
Reminds me of suicide note 1 & 2 by pantera. They were influenced by pantera so that's how I get that opinion. One is heavy one is slow. Maybe I'm wrong
I love Part 1 and 2 both
The entire Nightmare album was supposed to be a concept album following the life of a soldier with PTSD. Then when the Rev died it kinda turned into something similar, but the first 5 songs were linked to this first initial theme. Then the rest of the album were written more for the Rev.
Danger Line please!!!
Adriana Lahm it makes me breakdown almost every single time
I agree with you
I second this
I am really curious to see what you guys will think of the song Critical Acclaim: A7X
Yes! Sevenfold!
React to Afterlife by them. It's arguably the quintessential Avenged Sevenfold song, just make sure you listen to the full version, not the music video!😄
Ughh...you people and your top 20 radio garbage. Don't be so easily manipulated into praising what radio and the masses push onto you.
Not ready to die
Try to react avenged sevenfold - beast and the harlot, bat country, a little piece of heaven
FINALLY MORE A7X!!!!!!
I love these reactions where you guys bring me a different point of view to a song that I've heard a million times :)
I love Avenged Sevenfold, it's the band that got me into metal. Then shortly into deathcore, deathmetal, and metalcore. I loved the analysis!! Please do Silent Planet - Panic Room. It is a song about the bands friend's story with PTSD from being overseas fighting for the U.S. Army.
Smuggy Puss when was A7X death metal?
@@dominic5930 he only said this band got him into metal, bro.
i liked the reaction overall and can appreciate the genuine response. keep it up guys
Gotta love when the synchronized head rockin starts up during the breakdown. I dislike reaction videos and seriously never watch them, but you guys are on a different level. Keep it up.
BLESS YOU!
I love how attuned you two are
I watch alot of your reaction videos. And when I saw you guys do Avenged Sevenfold I thought of this song. Couldn't get through the first minute of the song. Still resonates pretty hard still 8 years later. Still love you guys. I think I prefer you guys over others because of the 40 minute discussions you have after. Keep it up guys 👍
Just wanted to say that i honestly could not tell you why i enjoy watching these kinds of music reaction videos. I guess it's me sat here in the UK watching two complete strangers across the world discover and rock out to songs i love and have on my every-day play list (also your reactions to the awesome moments within songs that i know are coming).
Your channel was randomly recommended to me but I've watched a few videos of you guys and even though it's just me watching you listening to a song, you are entertaining; and that aspect on two individuals is super rare. So thank you and keep it up :)
P.S
I urge you to listen to more Avenged Sevenfold. Nightmare is an amazing song with one of the best/most fun drum tracks ever in a rock song in my opinion.
Also some more Five Finger Death Punch. Hard to See, Gone Away and House of the Rising Sun; all fantastic songs.
Loved seeing them really feel it during the solo. That’s how we all feel listening to syn play lol
I really enjoyed this talk
You 2 are so awesome
Woo! Sidewinder next!! You won't regret it.
I agree with Sori, I'd have to say that Vin does know more than the average guy.
you're amazing!!!
Avenged Sevenfold - Chapter, Unholy Confessions and A Little Piece of Heaven
BLIND GUARDIAN soon please :)
Still not getting notified right away of your videos. Just checked up on the channel and saw this then got notified, but it usually is taking about 13-16 minutes.
Great analysis Vin, i think your spot on with the mice endure the wheel verse
I've seen them live last week and they played this song! :)
Great Song
Great video.my favorite avenged song
This song rocks!!
Liked and subbed great duo personality video.
Their new song The Stage is crazy. Quickly becoming one of my favorites
One of my favorite songs by them
I got to hear this song live. Oh my god such a good track
You guys have the BEST a7x reaction videos. Fantastic video thanks for doing it👍
IMO one of their best songs.
Bless you.
Would really love to see some more In Flames reactions
Oh yeah, I love this song
This song has always reminded me of Fade to Black so much.
Do more reactions please y’all guys are really cool
Cue uncontrollable head banging after the first solo !!!
One of their best songs, no doubt about it.
That single Zacky power chord at the transition that doesn't quit
YESSS!!!
I am Catholic (tho no particular expert). There is a traditional belief that people who are cremated must wait until the end of the apocalypse to get into heaven. The Catholic Church softened its stance on this belief during the Black Plague when the best way to safely handle the dead was through a Funeral Pyre...
On a separate note about being buried alive, there's an episode of Poldark where one of the villagers is declared dead, last rites read and he's wrapped in burial cloths. On the third day of laying in state he suddenly gets up, the nuns watching over him scream and pass out. Later the guy talks about walking into the tavern (still in his burial cloths) and people in the tavern dive out of the doors and windows. He complains about having to serve himself because the tavern was empty by the time he reached the bar 😆 Just a hilarious thought process.
I sometimes wish I had faith, it sounds so beautiful and comforting the way you talk about it. But I simply dont believe and I never have.
Btw when you guys were talking about the guitarist at the end, his name is sysnster gate. M shadows is the vocalist. Ik this has already been out for 2 months but just thought I should tell ya guys.
P.s love your vids!! Keep up the good work!!
Bless you
Usually, after Vin and Sori get done listening to a song, I stick around for another 5-10 mins and then I stop watching. I just watched this whole vid and it’s very insightful stuff. Very intelligent. I’m gonna stick around for a lot longer than I usually do \m/
I... I think I love you guys
A little piece of heaven!!
Avenged sevenfold “strength of the world”
Never clicked so fast xD
The entire album was about The Rev. He was an important part of their lives for a very long time. They loved him, losing him was extremely difficult.
Was hoping you would get around to this one :)
Bullet for my Valentine- All These Things I Hate. Love your vids!!! Keep uploading!!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Also when they were buried alive back then thats where the term Saved by the Bell came from was because if the person woke they could ring that bell by pulling the string going from the inside of their coffin to the bell above their grave and the groundskeeper would hear them and possibly save them. It's cool learning about this in a museum like I did, they had a whole setup where a person laid in a fake coffin and could pull the string.
You’re right Vin, Syn Gates is an absolute bad ass on the 🎸
Hell yeah I love this song
Edit: 100% agree with Vin’s description of hell, that’s how I’ve always imagined it in my mind
Shadows is the vocalist! Syn is the lead guitarist. And yeah, I totally agree, I also feel that syn doesn't really get mentioned with any of the greats, even though he has developed his own sound over the years and has written some really tasteful licks. You can instantly tell when it's his playing!
Avenged Sevenfold - A little piece of heaven. Best love song ever.
I had a request back at 500 sub's that still never went through lmao, it was called Nothing To Say by Slash Feat. Matt Shadows, the singer of Avenged. I'm still patiently going to wait, I asked on every platform so whenever you guys get the chance, it's an awesome song
Justdat799 I second this!
Such a great song.
I will never stop spamming.. Thousand Foot Krutch - In My Room!!
There's a demo of the rev drumming and singing to buried alive, the song and concept was made before his death
I totally want you guys to react to
Circle of Dust - alt_Human!
The song is relatively new
Circle of Dust is a 1-man band that recently came from hiatus, pretty underground but very respected and kind of an industrial cult classic...
The whole Nightmare album exept for Danger Line and title track are in some way about Rev, so you are right Vin. But people often think that songs from other albums are also about him although the band stated that they are not. The last song A7X wrote about The Rev was St James, the bonus track from the album that came after Nightmare.
M. Shadows is the vocalist. The guitarist's name is Synister Gates
PLEASE do Scar Symmetry, The Illusionist! Thanks guys!
I’d love to see a “Silent Planet - Northern Fires (Guernica)” reaction! I promise you’d love it!
A7X - A little piece of heaven would be awesome just subscribed today. Awesome reactions and song breakdowns!
At last you are back with A7X...Love from India...A7X foREVer
Finally .. nice.. please react to a little piece of heaven next ..
Fucking awesome song this one!
Avenged Sevenfold- God Hates Us. Evile- In Dreams of Terror. Bullet For My Valentine- Scream Aim Fire or Begging For Mercy.
OMGGGG YESSS finalllyyyyy A7X FOR LIFEEEEEE
The Rev died during the recording of the Nightmare album, so there's a version of this exact song on CZcams where the rev is singing the demo version of buried alive. So some songs were written before and after his death
I have been waiting for this one! I feel like you should react to the entire nightmare album! Lol please do "Avenged Sevenfold 4am" it's a bonus song it's incredible!
Really happy to watch you react to A7X again =). You can do A7X- Chapter Four if you'd like to!
They also used to have rope or string attached to a bell at the headstone and the other end attached to the bodies hand. It was one of the grounds keeper's duties to listen for the bell in case the person wasn't dead and to dig them up if the bell rings
That song is so sick. Gets strong as hell at 5 min
Lol Vin looks like he wants to punch Sori when she sneezes. Tell me I’m wrong. Lol love your videos guys!
Sori's right!
Sori I totally get what you are saying about about traveling alone and having so many questions. That's part of the beauty of us having free will and conscience and thinking minds. I've always thought God intended for us to have questions and everything like that. We can do our best to build our relationship with God and converse with him in order to gain deeper understanding and appreciation. I never take anything at face value... I Google things and ask questions and pray and anything else that helps... Sometimes I find satisfactory answers and other times I don't. But I love learning. The journey of life is amazing and beautiful.
Hey Zeus first off, it's God. As in the proper noun. Secondly, which of God's intentions are not met and how does that apply to whether or not he is all knowing? Knowing that something is going to happen and intending or wanting it to happen are 2 totally different things. God gave us free will, meaning we choose whether or not to do things, even if it isn't what God would want us to do. Lastly, we both know you are well aware that I'm not saying I can literally have a conversation and exchange actual words with God, that's why you put talk in quotation marks. It takes work to understand things. God doesn't just give us the answers outright. That's why a major part of Christianity is faith. You are just drawing false conclusions with logical fallacies and non sequiturs and likely trolling. If I am wrong, feel free to clarify what you are saying and I'd love to have a conversation with you.
M Shadows is vocals. Synyster Gates is the lead guitarist and Zach Vengeance is rhythm guitar.
WOW!, Thank you guys!. Every time I hear you guys talk about a song that I love, you guys always bring up things about it that I never thought of. I love that. You guys rock, and thank you for your opinions. = ) . Also Im slowley uploading music to my CZcams channel that I personally made. Feel free to listen to "What a Life"
Check out some Deftones! I think you guys would really enjoy them
You mean Syn, not Shadows. ;)
Right! Lol!
Not to mention that books from the bible has been removed. Like the book of Enock, Jesus himself quoted parts of the book along with other. I completely agree with you. Interpretations of the Holy Book has changed over the last 1,000 years...
I had to look through and check to see if any1 else caught that b4 I commented the same thing. 😂👍😎🤘🤘
Vin, dude you look grumpy all the time but you are a shinning man, love you.
Sori, gurl you look good.
Hey guys, love it! I think you should check out Silent Planet - Panic Room or Understanding love as loss. The songs are very strong lyrically and cover some pretty heavy themes, PTSD and Depression/Suicide respectively. Very musically heavy as well.
Listen to the American Nightmare by Ice Nine Kills!! It's amazing and see if you guys can figure out what or who they are singing about.
Porcupine Tree - Anaesthetize (Live in Tilburg video) :) Simply amazing.
great vid as always, but at the end, you said shadows took it somewhere guitar wise. Shadows is the singer, Matt Shadow. The guitarists are Synyster gates (lead) and Zacky (rhythm and harmonise leads). They are really one of best guitarists at the time
Good one!
Yeah, M Shadows is an amazing guitarist. I also really like Synyster Gates’ drumming and Zacky Vengence’s singing
Max Fisher wait.....
Trolled
Me too! Syn’s so good!
A little piece of heaven pleeeaaaseeee.....
