Something that really charmed me about this movie is that although it's filmed live action, it's still treated like a cartoon. Just look at the vibrant color choices, improbable physics, and just how vibrant the actors all are!
I was always enthralled with the concept of this being a stage play. I LOVE the costumes!!! The choreography is amazing, the chorus, etc. Say nothing of the fact that the Scarecrow is the villain! We taped this off one of 'The Wonderful World of Disney' late movie nights back in the early '90s (anyone remember those?). I converted it to a DVD to preserve the intro.
Oh gosh, I do! I think it aired on Sunday evening and, with how things were back then, it was a big deal to have a motion picture (movie) shown on tv. Was always excited, seeing the intro for the Magical World of Disney, especially with Roger Rabbit at the end of it.
Check out the Laurel and Hardy "March of the Wooden Soldiers" 1934 movie. Better yet. Sets are amazing compared to this one. Still some good scenes in this version. Lots of dancing which is typical of Disney.
It's funny how some scenes just stay with you for a long time. I remember this scene and the talking trees and the walking toys from almost 30 years ago as a kid.
I can't believe this movie. It was one of my movie collections favorites. My mom was creeped out by the trees and the Crooked house or I believe it was called that. I have looked for years for this movie and it was part of a top ten list I watched so my Head is stuck with all the songs
This is the missing square from the mummy cat, the problem is the square is powerful it can hold the M and it's Variants, the owl v nose and the square cross which is encircled the Knights of the night templars and all its other variants like the green lego square etc thats why a “solution” as everybody wants to win so it's difficult situation
To be overly politically correct and to police others’ thoughts and words. A recent example.... the unnecessary changes Disney made to the lyrics of several songs in the live action Little Mermaid. To sum it up..Political correctness gone haywire.

Not sure which this is, but the Blu-ray has the more accurate aspect ratio, as it shows more image on the sides. With the DVD, it's pretty obvious in certain shots that it's cropped.

Every time I see this video, I'm reminded how insane the costumes and choreography are
And the choreography.

This was my fav film as a kid! My favorite dress was always the peach one in the front haha
I think this is the best film adaptation of Babes in Toyland. although I remember the 97 animated movie, The Disney version is far more Superior.
Jacob Fisher I agree! I love watching it on Blu-ray as well. The HD makes it look more vibrant

thomas Romano I love that movie too
Yeah. 1997 movie was pretty much an animated sequel with continuity issues
There’s also the terrible 1986 version.
