I finally completed this game on android I tried to beat the final boss many times it didnt work. But I never gave up and then today I did it with 55 rings collected and won the good future ending
Apparently they were going to add a super form for getting the time stones, but it was cut. It's still in debug mode via the S monitor but just gives sonic invincibility and speed with no new sprites.
It's apparently a bug in this verison of the game. I dont think it happens in the orignal as I remember getting that with the time stones. It's not the only bug though, in stardust speedway whlie you can get the good future in act 3 both ways, the bad future theme still plays in the race instead if the good future one. This basically ruined the metal sonic race for me. I never played the orignal Mega CD verison but I think they were confused aswell as us Sega CD players.
Bad future you have more enemies to fight, so many traps are placed its ridiculous,the atmosphere is horrible and the songs are really dark. Good future. All that In reverse, no enemies, the littlest traps, atmosphere is nice, and the music is amazing. Most platforming challenges dint change though.

To get the good future you need to get all chaos emeralds? (Stones)

Kirby7601 It's a bug. MM will sometimes show the bad future even if you've technically gotten the good future.
