- For an individual entering his mid teens, when it comes to taste in music and understanding what a personal brand represents in todays world, Australian Central Coast’s Oscar Langburne is beyond his years. It was around this time last year that we introduced Osc to the Haydenshapes team and since then we’ve had the pleasure of getting to know him and his family, what feels best beneath his feet, and what psyches him up most about surfing.
At some point over the past year, “Give the people what they want, take this boy to Indo, deliver us the feature he deserves!” was aptly put to us. Thus, and in good time, we ventured over to Bali and Sumatra with Osc and film maker Dan Scott and a diverse quiver from single fins to twins and his favourite Untitled FutureFlex. He talks more about his boards in the interview below. In the mean time, enjoy “Elegia”.

Seems like a really appreciative and decent kid. We know style is self expression and what I see is someone with talent, someone whose ego is at the door, and someone who really rides the wave and doesn't care to destroy it or bend it to his will (old school approach in that way).
I hope he's confident to remain the way he is; his personality is very mature and respectful for such a young talent. It's too often we see young talent like his be molded into a quiksilver-esque grom with no respect for others in the water and tons of ego and testosterone.

To be fair, he seems a little low on testosterone at the moment 😅 but I would agree, stick to your guns lad, love his attitude
and he still can do some impressive progressive moves too, despite yhe chill aproach.. all functional

solid surfing and great style, much like Ando.. refreshing to see he's not obsessing over airs, thus greatly reducing risk of wrecking his body.. fortunately, "freesurfers" don't need to do airs to be appreciated

@@jacksonprice4462 haha not at 64, but i'm still surfing short and long. The kid can air but he's flowing the whole wave not just thrashing short sections.. and yes bad landings can and do wreck bodies

The kid surf really well great style... However It definetly influences where u live to get sponsors n have these lifestyles... I know tons of kids that surf just as style and radical and even better ridiculous stuff and are as poor as they come
