मैं स्मार्ट हूं तो मेरी प्रशंसा करो...', रूस के साथ संबंधों पर उठे सवाल तो जयशंकर ने दिया ऐसा जवाब, अमेरिकी विदेश मंत्री भी मुस्कुराए. अमेरिकी विदेश मंत्री के सामने जयशंकर को दोस्त रूस पर घेरा, भारत के 'चाणक्य' ने यूं बंद कर दी बोलती. रूस और यूक्रेन युद्ध के बाद से पश्चिमी देश लगातार भारत पर दबाव बनाते रहे हैं। पश्चिमी देश चाहते हैं कि भारत रूस की आलोचना करे, साथ ही उससे तेल खरीद को बंद करे। पश्चिमी मीडिया ने एक बार फिर भारत को घेरने की कोशिश की, लेकिन डॉ. जयशंकर के जवाब ने मुंह बंद करा दिया।

This is the very reason I will vote for Modi. You may hate him or you may love him. But his choice of ministers and people who make the right decisions and putting the right people in the right place is critical. Jaishankar, Gadkari, Ashwini, scindia - so many examples of great people. I have also interacted with a lot of them as part of my job and the people at responsible positions are just damn good. Never have I felt so good after talking to a government official.
