- Today we Installed new coilovers on the Hawkeye WRX & WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I am super happy that we went ahead and upgraded to the ISC Suspension Coilovers on the WRX. We didn't absolutely slam the car, because we have lots of stuff still to come! But I have been waiting for this day to come around, and I'm very happy to be back dong what I want, with company I love!

You may or may not remember my comments a few years ago. But I told you quality over quantity. I feel like you achieved that goal finally. Good job dude
BCs are pretty easy to tell the spring rate as long as you dont have swift springs. So when you were comparing the shocks @8:10 the spring says "62" which is the inner diameter of the spring, "200" which is the overall length of the spring, and then "008" which means the spring rate is 8kg.

❤! Something to consider would be when putting in bolts especially on you should put them in the direction of travel. I.e. the head towards the front of the car (if possible) that way if the nut comes lose and falls off the bolt won't get yeeted right away so you have a chance to hear and weird sound of have it feel different rather than have your suspension collapse from under you

You can buy coilover adjustment key extenders (don’t know the correct name) but hey are basically wires with the nub on for you to relocate the adjustment key to a better location. Might be something to look into 😁

Yeah buddy keep it up!!! I would highly recommend getting a killer bee oil pickup (oil pan would be a good idea too, but not entirely necessary) a cylinder 4 coolant reroute kit, and an air oil separator. These are the first things IMO that any turbo Subaru owner should get to rectify the short comings of some oem designs.
And no you don’t get an adult ratchet 😂

You definitely should pick up some ospho which is rust neutralizer and then some por15 to then paint over the cleaned off rust. it’s durable and looks good to and helps seal the metal off from rust in the future
Isc is actually made in taiwan, and they ride pretty harsh for daily use. They’re great for trackdays and track use. They have the ISX line which are softer for daily use
They make the car handle worse, ride qauilty and suspesion wise
Isc is right up the road from me in new Hampshire

Yo this is lit. I have a 05 wrx wagon full swap to a rust free chassis I have been working on for about a year and I bought this same set of coils for My car. Haven't gotten to the point of installing yet but hype to see one of my favorite creators like them!
I run the d2 racing I love them I use full adjustable track models they offer and they also do have the full fabric dust covers that covers the spring
Hey also for the seatbelt chime you can just unplug it underneath the seat lol. It resets every time you reset the ecu.

The OEM Subaru inverted struts were/are known for their knocking. Mine lasted 50ish K km's.

I really want to get the sti suspension for my rex. But for now I just have to daily the maxspeedingrods that came with it.
Thank god 08-12 Subaru Impreza are much easier to change the rear struts lol I went with BC coilovers. Regret not getting their covers. Appreciate the Subaru content Robbie.
I put wrx seats in my 2.5i and the electrical didn’t match up, had to do that seatbelt trick. It also worked on my gfs 2019 outback.

Funny that you mentioned the seatbelt thing, my first Impreza had this done and I thought it was broken, but after I got my second Impreza (upgraded from an RS to a WRX) it was off too so then I know some trolling had been had lmao

Oh yea, I remember doing the seatbelt trick after almost everytime I worked on my Impreza.
Would be cool if you were able to find a way that you could put the seat back in and still be able to access the adjusters

Seatbelt hack FTW! The 2003 WRX doesn't have fold-down seats as well...
They actually have coilovers for my ride! Current ones I have on have no dampening adjustments, so it rides like a race car and roads in my state suck. 👍

my Hawkeye came with a 2L engine instead of the 2.5L it also came with the blue sti interior except it doesnt have the sti logo on the seats like the normal sti seats. it’s registered as a sti and has the sti bodykit and interior except it’s not a sti. Any ideas ?

Gd/gg Subarus are known to rust like crazy in the rear strut towers. There’s no gasket or anything that goes in there, salt just loves to collect and do it’s thing
