My Erasmus in Tampere

- From the Arctic Ocean to Tallin's hold town, under the majestic northern lights and the calm midnight sun, on frozen lakes and green grass, freezing at -25°C and feeling hot at 25°C, with reindeers and huskies, I spent almost 10 months in Finland and surroundings.
But most important I discovered a new way of life, I experienced the Nature in a manner I didn't before. I met friends, solidarity, trust, equality, different cultures coexisting together. Of course I faced hard times, but it was worth it.
With a hold Hero 3 and few time to edit during the last year, this video is the result of passion and committment. I've tried to capture every special moment of such amazing experience. I hope this shows you at least 10% of what I lived, saw and felt.
Before I went to Finland one of my friends asked me "Why are you going there? What are you going to do there?". I didn't know. But I exactly knew what I would have done if I had stay in my hometown.
The matter is to follow new paths. This is how we grow.

Such an inspirational video! 2 days ago I found out I got a place to go on Erasmus to Tampere University of Applied Sciences and I am so looking forward to it after watching this!

Hi, I just found out that I'm also going to Erasmus in Tampere for a whole year! I'm studying mechanical engineering. We might meet up there haha

Fabulous video ! Well done ! I was also in Tampere last year (january to december 2017) in Pinja building. So we may cross each other at some point... Your video is genuis and reflected perfectly the feeling we had in Finland.

Hi Ginkgo, Thanks for your comment! Yes, I definetly enjoyed Finland and I promise myself that I will come back there, maybe within the next 5 years I will plan a trip :) I often think back on the awsome places I saw.
So do I. I will return too soon. The large frozen lakes of Tampere was an unique amazing experience ! With the snow, it was like these huge salt desert, I will never forget it. I even manage to bicycle on it...

I know it was a video from two years ago, but a random question, were there a lot of italians? xD
Cause I would like to go there to study for one semester, but at the same time I would like to practice my english so I wouldn't like to speak italian all the time (I live in Italy)
Italian here too! 👌 I think Italian students don't miss any Erasmus location. That said, if compared to more exciting cities (Barcelona, Paris etc) there are way less Italian students there. But take in mind it's up to you whether hanging out with Italians or not. Also tampere isn't a huge city, so you'll get to know easily the people living in your student building and studying at your campus. When I was there we used to hang out in mixed groups, so yes, Italians were there but we all spoke English.

@@pedroloto qualasi cosa sia, non tirarti indietro e falla ;) che sia un bagno nell'oceano artico a - 20°C sotto l'aurora boreale o un Road trip improvvisato nella terra dei laghi vivi ogni giorno al massimo, anche in termini di quello che potrai imparare in università. La crescita sarà esponenziale e saranno esperienze che non ti dimenticherai mai 💥
