  • Many people think that I am already having a polish citizenship directly after getting married, and are shocked that after 3 years of marriage I do not have it yet, Polish citizenship can be obtained by marriage on the basis of article 30 paragraph 1 (2a) of the Law on Polish Citizenship. However, one cannot get the citizenship immediately after marriage.

Thank you so much for this video ❤❤❤❤🙏 I was searching about this a lot and I finally found something helpful. I actually didn't know about the surname difficulty 😢I don't want my husband to become a Muslim but oh well😅 nothing to do about that.
    All the best Amina 🥰

I totally feel your experience. I am in the process of waiting for the meeting with the court. My fiancé is polish we started the process in Nov 2022 and it's been already more than 1 year since we gave them all our documents with apostille and translation of my documents, all this time we were only waiting for the court date. As you said, the court requested mexican law and did translation to polish language. Few weeks ago they gave us date of the meeting. It's been one of the hardest and heaviest things I've lived you don't have idea how many times we changed our plans, almost gave up with this waiting but yes if there's love is worth it.
Could you share about post wedding? Do you need to get a residence or do you already have it because of work or anything else?

      Hi Diana
      Courage to you.
While getting married I had a residency card based on work, and after getting married we applied for a new residency card based on marriage (I advice to do it as soon as possible after the marriage)
If you know the exact date of your marriage, try to book the appointment for the residency card to be directly after.
I got first residence for 1 year and now my second one was for 3 years.
I will make a detailed video for that purpose for you.

Hey, big congrats on getting married! Really thrilled for you. By the way, I'm an Algerian dude about to get married in Poland, but I'm hitting some bumps too. Since I'm a resident in Germany, not Poland, the Algerian embassy here in Warsaw rejected the non-marriage certificate issued by the Algerian embassy in Germany 😂 You know, if you're rocking an Algerian passport, it's like signing up for the most extreme obstacles in life 😂Jokes aside, huge congrats once more 🎉

I am Moroccan I got married with my polish wife here in Morocco. I sent her our Moroccan certificate of marriage and now almost 3 months and we are waiting for it's registration in warsaw. To can be able to have a aviation to me.
    To apply for visa
Because My passport needs a visa to Poland.
I hope is going to be all right to join my wife in Poland and have our life together.
I don't know why this registering our Moroccan certificate takes all this time even it's original one from Morocco with Moroccan apostile before I sent it to her.

There is a big issue of Polish women getting married with foreigners and they get used for that just to get Polish residency and citizenship.
The Polish government tries to limit this, and this can be a reason why it takes them longer to check all and legalise everything.

Is your husband a Polish citizen? Also, would the whole procedure be easier if your husband came to Algeria and married you then you moved to poland on spousal visa?

    • @aminalucid
      @aminalucid  Před 9 měsíci +1

Yes he is, I did not need a spousal visa,
and No, unfortunatly it would not be easier, because in algeria you need to submit documents to the wilaya and to the police, and they were not sure how long this process would take but minimum 3 months, and staying in algeria for 3 months without even knowing when the document to get married would be released was not the best option either

Oh ok. Thanks for the reply
Also, would you be interested in making new updated videos about living frugally in Poland after like 6 months? Because inflation happened and things have changed and I believe people would love to compare how much your spending changed and if your old ways of saving are even possible in 6 months.

To quickly obtain Polish citizenship, you only need to know the Polish language at B1 level and pass the language proficiency exam.... All you need is a year of legal residence in Poland and legal employment and permanent place of residence in Poland.
