Akibaranger is definitely treasure. "We'll never be forgotten, because nerds never forget anything" may be the most realistic thing ever said in a toku show.
I think one of the funniest parts of Akibaranger is that it, like a lot of Tokusatsu, was also made to sell toys, just adult ones (innuendo intended); Akibaranger, for those who don't know, was made in part to advertise the new Super Sentai S.H. Figuarts line, which is why we got so many Akibaranger releases in that line

Funny thing that Hakase considering that the actress who played her is the voice actress of Rikka from Chuunibyo literally hired 3 Chuunibyous as a ranger team.
The scene where he transformed for the first time in the real world solely with his willpower was incredibly well-executed, and it gave me chills while also bringing tears to my eyes.
So, their transformation call is literally “grand delusion“ what a weird transformation call for a weird unofficial parody that has recently been recognized by the Mobirates, GearTlinger and Don blaster.
I want a 6th akibaranger (or 4th I guess) that's entirely themed around Genz and memes. seems fitting

What we need is an Akibarenger that is actually a Kamen Rider fan but is forced to be part of the Sentai team and is basically the embodiment of an annoying fan
@@kiss-shot_is_baeyou just blew my mind and now I’m mad because they never did that, seeing as their was a reference to ultra man. I don’t remember if there was a reference for kamen rider but if they had included a rider fan as the sixth, his suit could look like a rider suit which would be possible because his delusional would be just as grand as the red, so he would customize his suit to look like a riders suit just as any true fan would
This was my first full Sentai watch, genuinely a great starting point, with very charming characters, and plots, id recommend it to anyone with any sort of love for Sentai/ Power Rangers
I love Akibaranger; it was the first Sentai show that I ever watched for a full season; I still need to finish season 2, however. I can't believe that it's been ten years since it came out already!
We need a show like this every 5 years, it's time to take parody seriously. A sentai-based show for an older audience to tackle more themes freely, and actually being funny. The Dairanger opening theme remake had me cry from laughter.

I love Akibaranger, it's such an amazing show, full of great humor and clever gags. I feel like Akibaranger is a beautiful love letter to Sentai, as well as Sentai fandom and toku in general.
This was great! I'm not a sentai fan but it was really heartwarming to see all the little references this show had to other sentai shows!

Man, I remember watching both seasons as it was airing back. It was mind blowing when we got to the 4th-wall breaking episodes. I don't really watch much sentai (more of a KR guy) yet I still managed to get the inside jokes.
This following gokaiger almost felt like a companion series...it was like we are living inside the mind of gokai silver. i would say Akibaranger was miles better than gobusters.
I've watched a lot of Sentai and this is one of my favorites. Of course it was created by Naruhisa Arakawa; my absolute favorite show runner.

Although it does say unofficial on the logo, there are some ranger keys and even ranger gears that are part of the super sentai series over the years that actually has a reference to the show looks like akiba ranger is an official Santi after all

I got fed up of Super Sentai long ago even before Power Rangers, then this came along and I loved it. Too bad there wasn't Bandai model kits of them but there is SH figuarts of them but hard to get, I would have loved to get Akiba Blue.

I got into Kamen Rider because of Decade.
I got into Super Sentai because of Akibaranger.
I owe my modern love of toku to shows that celebrate it.
10 years after and I'm still waiting a 3rd season... ='(
the only sentai that has a season 2 and i want a season 3
Akibaranger appends the perspective of otaku as well as comedy anime and Moé, especially with the Z-Cune Aoi character that was made for the show. It’s moment were hilarious and succeeds with paying homage and adheres to Official Sentai Seasons. I wish more people in the toku fandom could understand this; I’ve been into anime myself and grew to understand this stuff.
I hope Toei will revive Akibaranger and make a V-Cinext special, maybe in the form of TTFC. Perhaps Hatte Saburo can revive them to get new Daisoreta Powers (I’m picking ones based on Goggle-V, Dynaman, and Flashman) while Malshina can have her own repaint of the Munyu Munyu Zubaan (and unlock a more “revealing” final form) to accommodate her Moya Moya Z-Cune. And maybe the final boss should be based on Deathnark from Goggle-V (Tsuu Shogun is based on Kaa Shogun from Dynaman, Doctor Z is based on Doctor Man from Bioman). Most importantly, they need to keep the anime elements, gags, tropes, and otaku-ish type of comedy.
These guys are the only set of Rangers I own. Love the gimmick and absurdity.
Akibaranger is great! I wouldn't recommend it as anyone's first Sentai, as it makes more sense if you've seen at least a few of the shows it draws iconography from.
Currently I'm watching Carranger and there's a similarly silly vibe but with fewer cameos from earlier seasons.

You know? Akibaranger could actually be a really good idea for a Sentai-themed Persona game. Especially with the idea of the characters being knowledgable of Sentai Tropes, it could be something where they just kinda...became Sentai as their Persona's manifestations because they thought the monsters looked like Sentai villains.
Curiously one of the main villains of Persona 5 Strikers is a fan of tokusatsu and he wears a tokusatsu-like suit in the metaverse
