- Visit Ojai California! OJAI is a small city in Ventura County, California, northwest of Los Angeles. Set in a valley in the Topatopa Mountains, Ojai has a village-like center dotted with art galleries, restaurants, and fine shops. Bordering the north, Los Padres National Forest Ojai is crisscrossed with meandering trails for hiking. Nearby Ojai is Lake Casitas a popular recreation area for boating, hiking and sunbathing.
Every year, the Ojai Music Festival features famed classical artists drawing people from all around the world. Ojai Valley Inn is an amazing resort offing fine dining, spas, and wonderful golf. The Soule Golf course is a very nice course run by the county. Soule is located on the eastside of Ojai. Many movie celebrities live in Ojai including A-list actors, producers, and directors. It is common to bump into many music celebrities as well who live in the area.
There are many daytrips you can take from Ojai including: Ventura Beach, The Channel Island Tours, Whale watching, Fishing, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Moro Bay Rock and a number of Vineyards.
The Ojai Tennis Tournament is one of North America’s largest amateur tennis tournaments. With 1,500 tennis players, up from the 12 players in the initial tournament in 1896 and 500 entrants in 1949. The tournament is played over several days throughout the Ojai Valley and elsewhere in western Ventura County, with final matches and marquee events held at Libbey Park in Ojai. Visit Ojai, you won’t be disappointed!

Main Street Santa Paula is nice. The people there are great. I love the open house first Sunday each month at the airport. Worth going.

You're right and we did eat there! Unfortunately we had to keep our video under so many minutes and had to leave a number of favorites out. Thanks for pointing Bonnie Lu's out!
I was born and raised here and I love it. Rattlesnakes don't want to mess with you! You have to do something pretty dumb to get bit. More importantly, we have a mountain lion that has attacked peoples dogs. Right up by those trails that you guys were hiking on, a mountain lion attacked her dog while it was on leash and under her control. She played tug-of-war and lost. Never saw her dog again. Also on those trails we have had coyotes attack people's dogs, again while on leash, and kill them. Last week I saw a couple walking their toddler at sunset and the little kid was literally 20+ feet behind mom and dad by himself. Not a good idea! Notice that when hiking on our trails or on the bicycle path, virtually everyone says hello and is friendly. Other than the main drag getting busy with traffic it's still a really nice quiet little town.
Oh my gosh. The parents with the toddler...no! We will be back in July and will watch carefully and make some noise. Thanks for the response.
