The Warriors movie released in 1979 is a great classic unlike any other movie that you will ever see. it was filmed on the streets of NYC and the story captures street gang life of the 1980's as we imagine it. The riding was brilliant. I never watched the Last Ride but it sounds like a comedy.

+dale wylie and as he was one of the few who actually lived to make it to Coney Island (in the movie)
Growing up in NYC this was a pretty real account of how it was in the 70's. You couldn't go to any neighborhood that was not your own without the risk of a chase, beat down, and having your kicks thrown up on the telephone wires. Ah the good ole days.
really man cause I don't remember it that much it was safe
@@ghplayer1992..... Probably Means in The Getho, Tough Neighbor Hoods of The Time......
Damn there had a teardrop! Miss those times!
I agree 1,000,000% Even at age 8 you thought like a 18 year old in other neighborhoods. loved it
evan browne I know the feeling man, me and my brother spent a good majority of our days in Brooklyn either running or fighting our way out. Even got a knife slash on my arm.
Love the way the dude on the left is walking like he means proper business... exactly like in the film! @ 0:32
I love this movie. I havent seen it in a while, but I need to rewatch it. I love that the cast went back to their old stomping grounds.
The guy on the subway was just waiting for that to happen his whole life.
This iconic movie caused such a stir back in 1979 and became an instant cult favorite. And it didn’t hurt all the unhinged media hype surrounding the movie. This is of the few times Rolling Stones has gotten something right “The Last Ride Home”, excellent!
The Warriors was definitely one of the best movies of the 70's. Right up there with Star Wars, Smokey & The Bandit, Jaws...Hell Yeah
An absolute classic of a movie, one of the all time great.
"We're goin in there like everybody else...nine guys, no weapons." Snow
Too bad Cowboy, Ajax and Snow couldn't make it to the reunion. Its awesome that the movie still gets so much respect in Coney.
Watch this every time it's on! Went to Coney in 92. How awesome to see you guys in character and in person. 👍
I cant tell you how many times I watched the orig movie. God this movie still has me thinking..........Your warriors are good..real good.......The best
Ajax still in prison for sexually harassing the undercover cop xD. Kidding aside this is really cool :)
The undercover cop was played by Mercedes Rhuel and she was nominated for best actress in "The Fisher King", she also played the kids mom in "Last Action Hero"
@@mhjulian Before that he was also busy raising another stepson named Dexter -seeing he would not be marrying Samantha Jones.
Ik this was years ago but they have a comic called jailbreak where they get Ajax out of jail
I saw this on the Big Screen when I was 13. Worst part was, going home to a neighborhood with real gangs.
Did the real gangs dress cool and have cool names?
MaharlikaAWA Depends on where he lived. Most gangs, especially like ones here in LA, don't just play dress up 😂
Same here..was 13 when i first seen it at a drive-in in the summer of 1979 in massachusetts. Then again and again...probably 10 times between '79 and '80..
MISFIT ISLAND z
I agree.
MISFIT ISLAND I take it you made it back to your home turf alive ?
All time classic movie.
I'm a father of 13 yo boy and I manage to interest him to watch that film with me.
He loved it,now Easy Riders and Jeremiah Johnson are next for him to watch...todays movies are rarely good but back then they were awesome.
No matter how many times I've seen it I watch it every time it's on.
Love it i wish I was there that day. This came all the way from Perth Western Australia
Happy almost 40th anniversary, the Warriors.
RIP Cyrus and Remembrandt
Still the real best from Coney Island.
Can you dig it 🇺🇸🦅🗽
Never imagined looking back at those days and thinking they were innocent times.
Sylvester Bester Tester no kidding
They weren’t
when it was cool to wear a leather vest and no shirt
When street beefs were settled by throwing hands instead of throwing lead! Can you dig it!?😎
@@aaronwilcott4561 crazy how nyc evolved
WHOA! glad to have seen this! I remember watching the movie when I was kid ..when TV was FREE! Long Live Rolling Stone magazine.
Legends. So good to see those faces. Thanks.
The Warriors and The Wanderers, two classics I've watched many times.
Watched the Wanderers last year. It was good.
I can still hear those beer bottles clinking from miles away .
I loved this movie!!! Thank you for sharing this!!! God bless you all!!!♥️
What a film, we had a little firm growing up in manor park in the East End of London & it was near Warrior Square, & we never allowed other kids not recognised to venture int our area, we watched this as young kids aged 13 or 14, the man who ran a club would charge a £1 to watch films & he knew we would relate to this, you could see the glee on his face as we sat there in silence mesmerized, you could hear a pin drop, we absolutely loved it, we all came out after singing warriors & felt we could take on anyone, way ahead of it's time 🇬🇧 ⚒
“How can there be some secret Subway ride with the WARRIORS if the Orphan’s wasn’t there??????
they avoided the Orphans turf this time. mostly because they knocked up that girl from the Orphans block and didn't want to face her and her 40 year old twins.
Nice reference lol!
Lmfao
"That must be because you guys are so bad, they're afraid of you"
you can get arrested for impersonating a chicken on the subway these days, it's like a $200 fine or something.
Riffs new leader:You Warriors are good, real good.
Warriors new leader: The best.
Oh yeah, that's true. I never thought of that.
Riffs new leader Masi
Warriors new leader Swan
The rest is ours
Orphans new leader: first one to introduce soap to the gang.
What an awesome, classic movie. Things were so raw and simple back then.
Though I was too young to enjoy any of it.
I'm glad to see that The Rolling Stones are still touring.
