The Escalante will give less cushion compared to the Outroad and Paradigm. It will also give you the widest forefoot fit.
The Rivera will give you cushion amount more similar to the Outroad and Paradigm. It will be the slim fit toebox, so should be similar to the Outroad.

how do they compare to topo's magnifly 5? i swear by the escalante racers but want to try other options

The Escalantes are very slightly bouncier and weigh about .2 ounce less. The Magnifly 5's definitely feel more cushioned and appear to have a more durable outsole.
