My regular STF might have a little more texture than my regular of the shelf 501, but really close, and you have to deal with the shrink to fit factor (one size up). The Premium line is a better jeans in my experience. The 150th is another thing. With my regular 501 size, still fit me looser, but in a comfortable way. They feel thicker but softer. Can see them lasting for many years. Hope Levi's would expand that line of textile to their Premium Selvedge.
