So the main takeaway I'm getting from this video is drink lots of tea.
I could get on board with this.

And the honorable mention of Apothecaria, by the same creator

... I had links top all the publishers included in my previous comment, but apparently CZcams ate that one...
This was way too well written and presented set to so fitting music, that I'm teary eyed from the feels!
What's your tea of choice to have with a cosy game? (and links have been added to the description thank you for the heads up everyone!)
Mall kids is another good one it's a GMless game that is kind of like the old Canadian show 6teen as a TTRPG (the teenage workers and frequenters of a mall and their misadventures)
I just found another chill one called Witch scouts as the name implies you are a Witch Scout (boy/girl scouts but with badges related to magic)
I have never heard of any of these games. Thank you so much for this video!
omg? Thank you so much for that list. I'm going to buy Apawthecaria as a gift to my witchy mum, she's going to love it so much. Again, thank you for the recommendation, you rock!
Can we get links to all these? Finding some of them is a pain on their own
I made one. Might not all be the best link for your region but darn Cantrip was hard to find at all.
I've updated the description with links now - hope that makes it a bit easier to find! - Maddie
@@dicebreaker oh man, thank you.
I should not be watching this while sick: I'm getting way too choked up and emotional!
I've owned Golden Sky Stories since they sent out the Kickstarter backed kits
Ryuutama is pretty great in this style, where the GM is explicitly a PC--the dragon telling the story the PCs are in.
Ryuutama was actually the first TTRPG I ever played. I agree with your points!
This was nice. I'd also like to point out Ryuutama as it's more about the journey than the destination or combat (although you can have plenty of that if you want) and it seems chill from what I've seen.
Ah I really want to play Ryuutama! It sounds so good - Maddie
Samesies!
Great list! I was not aware of three of these (Cozytown, Cantrip, Animon Stories)
My wife and I host a regular story game night here in Des Moines. Our reliable go-to cozy games include BFF!, The Quiet Year, Laser Kittens, Fortunes, and Fiasco with a soft tilt (found in the Fiasco Companion).
Thank you! Noting these!
I haven't even thought a non-combat, cozy RPG was possible! Now I want to play all of these! Thank you so much for this amazing list, Dicebreaker!
Thank you for these brilliant recommendations! So nice to see cozy and sweet games in the RPG space.
I'd love to see some of these played, they sound adorable!
I'd add an honorable mention for SCRAPS, by Cezar Capacle. It's a peaceful game of exploration, discovery, and most of all, crafting. You seek out fantastical, fascinating and esoteric materials to build projects for your community.
Thank you for the tip.
Cookies are never optional.
I already had many of these on my list of games to get but this just added more to it. Love the RPG list videos and I hope to see many more.
What’s on your list of games to get? Please share.
Fantastic list! I definitely want to try most of these, and wouldn't mind to try the rest if I came across it (and I am loving all the references to Redwall in this video 💙)
Wow the algorithm delivered today! I’ve been circling this topic recently, and this is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thank you for the list!
Ah so happy it found you at the perfect time! Hope you found something to play - Maddie
Any chance for some links? I'm having trouble tracking down Cantrip.
Hi! I'm Misha, designer of Cantrip. Thank you so much for wanting to check out the book
Truly cosy. Will add these to my list. ❤
I adored all the ideas. Thanks for sharing this list
I love this list Every game I already know on this list is super fun! This video is a great resource for families too and especially teachers! Assisted language teachers and outdoor educators heads up! Good times in general, thanks for the extra recommends!
I honestly want to play all. I am hoping that I can play them with my kids.
Love these recommendations! Thank you so much for this video
Amazing video! Thank you for thinking of us!
Just bought Cozy Town to try with the kids (after watching this). Thank you!
Ahh I hope you all enjoy it! Let me know what kind of town you make, I'm so curious to know what everyone builds! - Maddie
Chill is a TTRPG. In its day it was an alternative to Call of Cthulhu. It was one of the first D00lite systems. 3rd ed mechanically was only Chill in name. CryptWorld is really the 3rd edition of the original game system. It was real fun too. So chillsters, I'm afraid that the name is taken.
i have been looking fot that king of video, thank you
this was lovely
I agree with the other comments, links would be incredibly helpful!!
I've got to ponder what happens when most D&D players try to annihilate everything that moves in these types of games.
Is it bad that I want to use Cozy Town for a horror campaign lol? I feel like the amount of comfort it generates in players by default would make any setting created very fertile ground for said sense of comfort being upended
Golden Sky stories *crying emotionally* Cabbage Merchant: "MY CABBAGES!!"😭 I miss those days when I used to run home to watch disney and avatar
I own Magic Kitties and Wanderhome! I'm going to play Magic Kitties Save The Day with the little girls I nanny
1:24 Cozy town✨💖

7:21 BFF🫴
10:09 Golden Sky 🫴
13:02 Wanderhome✨💖
15:55 FFF✨
19:01 Cantrip✨💖

I really enjoyed the music used in this video. Links to these would also be amazing! I think BFF and Apawthocary sound really sweet :)
So cosy town is a hack of The Quiet Year then?
For anyone interested in some new ones, I'd highly recommend checking out Society of Rafa!
How long before someone adapts an Animon nuzlock?
My real life is serene and peaceful. I prefer my roleplaying solidly good vs evil.
Maybe tell the editor to lower the volume of the music next time
MY CABBAGES!!!!
Sounds more like comfy town
Why are almost all of these about playing an animal or a child?
I see a market opening for an RPG where the players are retired and enjoying life.
It also seems like there could/should be TTRPGs where the players are in a cozy mystery. Are there any where you play an amateur sleuth?
We recommend Brindlewood Bay! You play as Miss Marple style, retired amateur sleuths trying to solve a mystery. We've got a let's play on the channel!
Sad not to see The Magical Land of Yeld on this list
Her voice sounds so familiar......
(My morbid ass looking at them, thinking of ways to twist them into straight up horror stories)
ok, lets play Bunnies and Burrows...
Cantrip, while a super cute name, is also awful. Seriously, most all search results will give DnD. I had to search around until I found the creator's twitter profile, and from there their personal website, to find them. If links could be provided with these sorts of vids, they'd be super appreciated.
They’re in the description now
I was super into this video, but I can’t lie, about 15 minutes in, I was over it. Maybe breaking it in half and watching the rest in a later video would’ve been better
