1. CPU DOES cheat (I.E, if Bowser has red shells, he will use lightning, don't ask why, I'm not a Mario Kart 64 A.I expert.)
2. Its hard to look at your own character with 3 other screens.
3. Bowser hates Choco Mountain( 11:30 )
4. Same as above but, the reason is when the A.I gets spun out of the no railing part, they drive into the wall

The only Mario Kart game where if you play 3-4 players you can’t hear the course’s soundtrack at all. And also the only one where you are able to control its volume when playing 1-2 players
Yessss your like on of the few to actually get this ENTIRE game and the smallest details that hardly most knows which kinda drive a little nuts.
The AI is actually unable to get the speed boost rubberband when they are ON SCREEN, this includes multiplayer modes.
However, they are able to use items without actually touching the item boxes, that's why they can use items in Toad's Turnpike.
But because of that, they can't actually use the items they get from item boxes.
There are actually Four "Player" Types:
The C0, which are us the human players.
The 90 AI, which is the default AI for Grand Prix Mode, aka Cheating AI
The D8 AI, which is the default AI for players that finishes races not dead last on VS mode, aka Results AI
The D0 AI, which is the default AI for players that get the last place in VS mode, aka Loser AI
All of these AI's are basically useless for VS mode because they permanently draft but since they are onscreen they lose the speed boost, so they will ALWAYS go below average speed, so they are only able to beat low level players that don't drift like the subber of this video.
Against experienced players who can drift (not even miniturbo), they aren't that much of a challenge. Even if they are able of spawning lighting and star at will, they suck really hard on longer stages and they are also "bugged", in the meaning that any collision that causes "WHIRRRR" state, like slipping with a banana peel or crashing against obstacles in the road, like Thwomps and anything like that, they have a highly likelyhood of getting a "CRASH" afterwards, that is the crash the D0 AI Loser Player gets when all racers finishes.

This code actually forces the CPU to use items they get from item boxes, but since 90 and D8 AI are unable of using them, it renders them itemless. The D0 AI is able to use items they get from item boxes just like human players would do, but they still "WHIRRRR" and "CRASH" afterwards, so there is a fix for them.

Even if their "bugs" are fixed and provided they can drift to prevent the speed loss, they still don't pose that much of a challenge unless you give them permanent acceleration so they can accelerate instantly after being hit, slipping or falling off the track. And even when you give them speed boosts, they are unable of handling too much speed without falling off the track or going off road, they are pretty much garbage on the entire Flower cup tracks.
I thought they would lose the rubberbanding abilities if you could see them on screen, but...

0:43 CPU Luigi uses item hax and gets a star because some cpu used a shock... seems legit
Edit: They can literally get random items without an item box.... HMMM seems totally legit right?

I don't see them try the secret pass on warrior stadium right at the start line as u go over the third hill go in the corner and jump right u will end up on the next road
