Setting up my fully automatic Laundromat with Amazon Alexa!! Buzz in door locks to keep out the bad elements. Hi tech router for increasing WIFI for Ring Door Bell. New and improved 360 degree dome camera from KASA.
Change Out video is the 1st in laundromat series of change out / money collections in the laundromat. I had a viewer want to know our passive income that each type of laundromat machine makes a week. So over the next few weeks as I change out our income from the laundromat. You will see what the different laundromat machines passive income. Collecting money is a normally everyday job in any laundromat.

When you play music through your Alexa, you should try Baroque Classical music after-hours to get rid of the vagrants. For some reason, they apparently can't stand it and they will leave.
100 percent agree. Alexa is so simple and even using non alexa devices are so easy to connect to the app. I've got 4 way power strips off ebay for silly money and the sockets can all work on their own or you can turn the 4 off at once. I've got it for lamps in my living room and if it's getting late I'll go on the app and turn them on so it looks like someone is home. It's common sense. If technology gets simpler to use more people will use it. Great video as usual Keenan.
@9:20 Hey Keenan a ip address changing every 30 days is because your using a dynamic IP which is rely strange for a business connection to your laundromat. Usually business accounts for internet are static and should never change.
I would be messing with the lights and the fan on Halloween. Just walking to the office all the lights will flicker and when you go to the office all the lights will be on.😱🤣

@@FollowingKeenan That would be amazing! I think the industry is starting to shift to accommodate unattended mats a lot more. Manufacturers are starting to implement their own apps for remote control capabilities. In time, I think technology will allow laundromats to be nearly completely passive.
Robbie beat me to the question;....Why not put the change out bucket in a rolling laundry basket, instead of lugging it around ???
I know there are some that says you should prank them. Yeah you could flip the fan on then back off in 20 seconds flip a spot light on then move it till they are lit up. Then play this message, "You are tresspassing on private property after business hours. If you do not vacate the premises with in the next 30 seconds The doors will be locked and police called to have you arrested." Then as the count down starts power up the lights so they can see to get out. Once they exit the building you make on more message. "Next time I won't ask you to leave the police will be called to have you arrested." Then power down the lights and sound off Store is closed and locked up. Then all you see is a A.I Al red light flashing. I would think this will cover you the best for you Ins. or any legal issues.

dont do music as you can get sued by the MAFIAAs, you would need a 'seat' for each potential customer.
ring has gone the money grubbing route of requiring a cloud subscription so dont think you'll be saving to your own hardware!
make sure you're changing default passwords on cameras and enable 2 factor auth if they offer it.

I am not sure what triggers the washers to start running. As in what does the coins trigger to vend. If it's a lever then wire a smart plug into the washer then install a servo to flip the lever to free vend. Alexa can give the servo power to turn on the machine. once it starts up turn it off.
on machines that you push the slide in theres a button in the back the slider pushes when it goes all the way in. depending on whether the machine has been
modified you can get free washes/drys with a certain tool accessing it through an open quarter slot. pretty sure keenan has addressed this though.
Can you setup announcements with the KASA like Hot dogging with Dan's setup?
No I use the alexa for that and yes I have the announcements.
Yiu can set a static ip address that doesnt change every 30 days.
i think you can save the money from one outlet by using motion sensor lights

You would still be able to use the ring for a need assistance option in the place.

I get a few. But what I love about this alexa is now I can see, hear and monitor it. Each day I check each place. So now if nothing dirty or issues I can see that at home. Instead driving all over early or late every day.

where do they sell the smart lock systems?? whenever i google smart locks, it's the wifi smart locks

I just flimed my setup. Door locks are a electric strike 24volts. The controller in back is plugged into a 110 outlet. I use a Amazon plug which the it plugs into. So basically your turning the power on and off to door lock controller.
