Ananya Baji, adaab! Wanted to add a few notes to provide more context to your already brilliant reaction. Naseebo Lal comes from a family of singers who have performed on the streets of Hindustan since colonial times. After the passing of Madam Noor Jehan, the Pakistani film industry became mainly Punjabi film industry and they needed folksy singer. Naseebo Lal became their go to singer. But the music they produced was often vulgar and cheap. Naseebo has a big family that depended on her so she sang all those songs. She has decades of experience under her belt. She is the embodiment of female empowerment. The song fits her story, her style, her musical tradition. Basically all Pakistani music has its roots in sufism, folk poetry, and later on Urdu poetic traditions. The dance is inspired from sufi Dhammal and the dances of whirling dervishes (you can also see it in movie Akbar Jodhas song Khawaja mere Khawaja). The light from the windows (Mehrabs) symbolizes enlightenment of the soul. It makes path into ones soul from small holes in the windows and fills the body. The naughtiness of Naseebo reflects the happiness of a soul that has found meaning in the meaninglessness of the worldly worries. Abida Perveen is the wisdom that Naseebo has found. You are correct Naseebo Laal has a folk background. Plus she is known as a singer of mostly Punjabi or Saraiki music. There is a distinct Punjabi dehati tone to her voice and diction. Abida Parveen comes from a Sindhi family steeped in classical music. Her father owned a music school where she was first trained and is more classically trained not just musically but specifically learnt Urdu and Sindhi and even Farsi as languages to better sing the music she wanted to sing. Her early career includes everything from ghazal and nazm to geet, not just sufi music. Her rendition of Ghalib's poetry was some of my earliest introduction to both ghazal and Ghalib.

Greetings from Pakistan. It was very late in the night when I got to know about your reaction to "Tu Jhoom". All my sleep just went away because watching your reactions is considered as a much bigger priority than anything. And yourself never disappoint. The song in my opinion is the best of Coke studio season 14 and it deserved reactions from one of the best reactors in the world i.e. yourself. Brilliant reactions to this Coke studio classic sung by two legends although I feel Abida Parveen has a unique much higher place. The song just motivates us to accept ourselves and be happy. Abida Parveen one and only 💓 Queen 👑 literally just give goosebumps through her voice. I was speechless less i heard this song when it was released and it was on my repeat list as i am a die heart fan of Abida Parveen since childhood. She has her own spot in the field of music especially sufi music. This was another masterpiece of Abida Parveen.

Most of reactors actually miss the importance of the line where Abiba G says:
"Nigah e yar jise ashna.... q na naaz kare. " 08:32
Actually this is from Ghazal written by Hasrat Mohani and it means: "Why shouldn't one be proud, who, by a glance of the beloved, has got the key of the secrets?" (For those who didn't got the meaning from the rhythmic translation of Coke Studio)
It is intentionally said at the end coz it sums up what is said in the whole song. In nutshell, the singers are happy at the end that they have got the key for true bliss in life and are grateful ultimately!
You won’t believe this I recorded this reaction twice..the previous video had some sound glitch but in that video I was literally pausing at this line and repeating the poetry and talking about it..but somehow it didn’t come out second time coz I wasn’t surprised this time and i wanted to keep it natural 😀 🙈

I think some Urdu words in these lines are unfamiliar to Hindi speaking people may be that's why everyone tends to just skim them without getting too deep. Every line here seemed to touch you but these didn't. I think the same issue. But that's fine and understandable. May be my comment will help many😁

Naseebo Lal jee is an artist who is often underrated & you are absolutely right, she has a folk background. Interestingly, the lyrics are impeccably crafted by Adnan Dhol. Adnan Dhool, the lead vocalist of the band Soch, has been nominated several times for the IIFA Award and Mirchi Music Awards for songs like "Awari" and "Malang." The way I see it, and this is the first feeling that came to me, is that this rendition is like the intervention (sort of like a coming to age lesson) for a daughter from a mother (Naseebo Laal) and a grandmother (Abida Gee) where they teach her to take the harshness of a subcontinent life in stride. I come from a broken home so Idk - this is what overwhelms me about this song. And I'm a guy. Go figure!
THe most strange and asotnoshing thing about this song is that its written By Adnan DHool who himself is a Singer yet he never sang it himself knowing Justice to these Lyrics would have only been possible by these two
