It’s really nice to see Jordon cut loose and be a human being without the weight of the world on his shoulders
ha ha
and only someone like theo can get anyone to that level :)
The weight of the world is on his shoulders? Lol calm down 😂🤣
the weight of what world ? lol he's an academic, he writes books, does interviews, gives lectures, and struggles with addiction like many of us. he has no responsibility to lead anyone or protect anyone's wellbeing. he just likes people to think he is at the center of some nonsense all-consuming spiritual war that only exists in youtube shorts
@@michaelflynn6952 Whether or not you like him he‘s had a huge impact on countless people‘s lives, that leads to a pretty big sense of responsibility especially when you tour the world and are constantly confronted with anecdotes from people who‘s lives you‘ve changed.
It’s so wholesome to see Dr Peterson smiling and thinking about something that clearly gave him such pure happiness. I really wasn’t expecting to see this when I searched Leonard Cohen live, but I’m glad that I did.
Exactly what I searched too, lol
I have yet to catch this podcast in its entirety, but in every clip of it I see, Jordan seems to be absolutely enjoying himself talking with Theo. And I LOVE that!
Thats because they are of similar intellect.
Agreed about Cash and Cohen aged like fine wine
Never In my life would I have thought theo was into Leonard Cohen
He’s smarter than he lets on. Comedians job I suppose
Leonard Cohen’s voice deepened as he got older and boy did It get better
Lol so true
Couldn’t disagree more
Just like Billie Holiday.
I still think his first album is by far his greatest work and a masterpiaece of the 20th century. Suzanne, Master Song, Winter Lady, The stranger song, Sisters of Mercy, marianne, goodbye, one of us. Pure perfection.
The deepness in Cohen's voice in "you want it darker" is just spectacular
We all love Leonard Cohen
The man comes around.
I know by that song he meant ‘You Want it Darker’ which is one of the greatest songs ever written, genius until the very end.
Excellent album.
… and steer your way 😍 leonard reached enlightenment jn his own way 💖
What about Seemed the better way? I find it sublime
So nice but sadly so rare to see Dr J.Peterson smiling and being able to relax, not having to deal with those 'beings' with too much time on their hands! Love you J P Nd Theo.. both legends in their own fields
Theo was really good for Jordan, it must have been such a welcome break.
It’s rare I see such a smile on his face.
I like Jordan even more, learning his taste in music is exemplary, at least.
And, those two artists, are timeless, in my opinion.
🎶😎🎵
No excess of thanks can be given to Rick Ruben for waking up Johnny Cash.
Ya that was really special
Love “Treaty” by Leonard Cohen. Masterpiece.
Agree totally that they got better with age, right up until the end. It’s really impressive how they kept making music for so long, and it shows that they truly were doing it for a love of the music. As far as still living artists go, Peter Gabriel and Nick Cave are also impressive examples who are still trying new things and growing as artists despite their age.
Jp is awsome, i need some friends like him. Good to see the a change of topic and once again he's spot on.
Not only am I a MASSIVE Cohen fan … this is the happiest I’ve EVER seen Jordan … and that makes me so happy 😢☺️👏 Funny cause I was cruising Theo vids and Shocked these 2 ppl met 😮
Two diamond legends 🫡👏🏽👏🏽
Cohen and Cash are two of the greatest singers of all time
When you love leonard cohen..you
Can t be bad..
I know that concert and LC was just amazing … sad that he was so close to the end.. you’d never know it but he seemed he did.
Saw LC in Dublin point depost, he was awesome, blew me away how fucking good he was.
I like how Jordan Peterson always says "bloody" LoL
I really was a fun of L.Cohen and J.peterson, but I've never imagined like this. Amazing!
I saw him in Worcester ma at the Hanover theater when he was 82 right around his birthday. 💯 religious experience....
Whoa. At the end. Thank you.
Jordan Peterson's face transforms with a smile
this might be the only thing I'll work upstream for.
also given the amount of candid shoeplay footage (_) from public access cameras Ive seen, I know theres footage of this watching that at the Sony center.
He just don’t miss
OMG. I LOOOVE LEONARD COHEN!!!!!
❤ I discovered Leonard Cohen a couple of months before he passed away and I watched every concert that was recorded of him when he came back because his agent had stolen money from him. Well, he mesmerized me. I could not stop listening to him.❤
"When the man comes around..."
I love this
Theo is the most adorable man I've ever seen lol omg he's so cute !!!!
Man speaks!!!!
True Detective 1. ❤
The commonality shared by two men from such different worlds give me some hope for our current polarized society
My spiritual teacher was very close friends Leonard Cohen my spiritual teacher died a year after Leonard passed away
If you understand theo you realize that the guy is all about connection and maybe a little comedy but it all starts with being a friend and then morphing into the idea of the person and then working the deepest thoughts out of the person he's talking to.. he thrives off of stories that hit hard.. fuck yea mann
look at the last seconds of this video Dr. Peterson looks genuinely happy
I don’t think I’d ever expect to hear that this guy is a Leonard cohen fan. He’s absolutely right about his later work though. The way his voice changed with age brought such a fabulously dark quality to his work, and he really seemed to embrace it and lean into that darkness. Billie Holiday did the same thing when drug use and alcoholism deepened her voice. Those early recordings are like night and day compared to later recordings.
❤😊
Nice nobody but me in my area even heard of this dude ..just like it is most of us are Waiting for the Miracle to come
Jennifer Warnes' Famous Blue Raincoat, which I have on vinyl, is one of my most loved records. First We Take Manhattan, is so good. Better, I have to say, than Leonard Cohen singing it himself.
Anybody else also wants to know what song Jordon was thinking about? interviewers must be slower to talk while someone is answering
I thought he was about to say Hurt, but it might have been You Want it Darker. You're right about interviewers feeling the need to keep talking, and not knowing when to shut up.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🕊️🙏🥀❤️❤️❤️
It's nice to see somebody being kind to the intellectually challenged.❤
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I don't know if he got better, but his live stuff was in another league. I saw him after his manager finagled all that money. It was the best concert I've ever attended.
LC, the genius he was, could get even to JBP
This is the first time I’ve agreed with jp. I wept at L Cohens passing.
same
I was #Shook as the kids say when I saw Leonard Cohen on the Future tour at Paramount in Seattle
"Five years ago..he was like 82.."
Leonard died at the age of 82.
Interesting fact: he was retired but his managers stole his money so 2008-2010 he had “the grand tour”… his misfortune made led him to the best performances he ever gave 🙏✨
What song is Theo singing?
I love Jordan Peterson even more now that he Likes Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash'. Lol
Susanne
You, Peterson, stand against everything Leonard Cohen stood for.
Looks like Cohen fooled you too.
Who is this cool cat?
They are the same personality type
After watching this, I wonder what Theo is really like.
Ironic since cohen probably despised peterson
these sped up clips makes me think they're on Adderall
I seen the future brother and it was murder - Leonard Cohen . RIP
Oh, look at little Peterson trying to appear human. I'm a little surprised he didn't start crying.
he can smile?!
Cohen’s following is remarkably cult-like I’m surprised Peterson didn’t catch onto that 😅
What the hell is he talking about? Leonard Cohen only started doing music again because he needed money and those last records and performances are terrible cash grabs. He was completely out of touch and a shell of the man who made albums like songs of Leonard Cohen and songs of love and hate...
Why does Jordan Peterson always talk about stuff I like in a way that suggests he doesn't really know anything about it? He does the same thing with philosophers and novelists. I think he just wants people to believe he's a smart guy, and he's willing to do it through deceit and pretention even if he puts off people who actually know something. He's perfectly content having an audience of know-nothings.
I'm not angry though. I feel bad for him and for those he's misleading. He claims to love the book so he must know he's behaving like fyodor karamazov?
Leonard Cohen last performed in 2013. He died in 2021 at age 82. This interview was recorded in 2021.
Peterson got his facts wrong. He started to suspect he was wrong, so what did he do? He shifted the conversation to Johnny Cash. It's funny watching him talk and seeing his fragile ego on display.
This interview is not in 2021, its like 4 years ago, which it would mean it was in 2018, which means 2013 was 5 years earlier, which means he actually got it right, which means you are wrong, which means that if you dont care for the facts but accuse him for that, means you are what you’re criticizing, which means you are a hypocrite, which is a sign of narcissistic people, which means that you are egotistical… lol

Jesus Christ saves repent of sins
The only hope is in Jesus Christ today is the day of salvation
John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
When they say "repent" I wonder what they meant (LC)
He couldn’t have been 82 if he died at 76
Cohen died at 82.
Jordan has an annoyingly broad definition for "religious"
I would say, and I suspect Peterson would say you have an annoyingly narrow definition for religious.
Stop lying Peterson...now I know ur just a facade
Whyyyy
Wth? I mean, he said that he 'loved Leonard Cohen'. I can't possibly see, how that's a stretch.
Sounds like you need to find a better place in life. Cause you sound like a girl who got broken up with
he is bsing
The best comment ever said about Jordan Peterson; he's what stupid people think smart people are like. 🤣
Nope, highly cited and recommended by other academics, and he was hired to be a part of two top 20 worldwide universities, including Harvard, so it turns out smart people also think hes smart.
