Three-division world champion Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete will defend his WBO junior lightweight world title against former two-division world champion Oscar Valdez in an all-Mexican duel Saturday, August 12 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Navarrete and Valdez seek to etch their names among the celebrated catalog of Mexican rivalries that includes Marco Antonio Barrera-Erik Morales, Ruben Olivares-Chucho Castillo and Rafael Marquez-Israel Vazquez.
Navarrete-Valdez will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Great fight from both. I’m a massive Estrada fan, but thought Yudica did the cleaner work, and deserved a lot more credit than the scoring suggested. A very narrow win for Seniesa , or a draw imo. The commentary was unbelievable, there was one section where Leonela landed three clear powerful shots that went totally unnoticed, only to comment on a returned left hook that was blocked???

This is the most I’ve ever seen Seneisa get rocked. Not sure what the game plan was but I’m sure she’ll learn from this bout. 2 minutes isn’t a lot of time to work, but either way, she has great footwork, working behind a jab and defense would set her up nicely

Seeing a lot of comments suggesting the champion should be dominated in order to lose their title. All of you are wrong. Whoever won should win. How many points does a defending champion team have to lose by in order to lose? If they only lose by 1 point, do they remain champions?

When i first saw Seneisa i thought she would be the best female pfp, but watching her fight better competion she has a long way to go. She has absolutly no head movement. She's lucky she fights at minimum weight because they usually dont punch too hard. She takes way too many big punches to be considered a pfp contender.

You're clearly a casual if you weren't embarrassed by the terrible standard of switching by Estrada, which caused her no end of problems. Yudica snapped her head back so many times due to Estrada's inability to protect herself during the switch. When she comes up against someone as good as Yudica, but with raw power, you're going to look very silly...casual.

It was very close but I think Senesia won this, no robbery. She’s special, has great combinations and footwork. But, she needs to work on her head movement and defense.

Cuando un/una argentina va a pelear a EEUU tiene que ganar por KO si no siempre se la dan a los Mexicanos o Americanos porque venden más. Igual creo que fue una gran pelea y estuvo cerca de consagrarse porque le llenó la cara de guantes. No le dieron el título pero se ve claro como le quedó inflada toda la cara a la campeona de la infinidad de golpes que se comió, no se si esquivo alguno.

Grande Yudica, baja a cabeza alta, dio una gran pelea, y quizás merecía más que perder por UD, pero ha demostrado ser una gran boxeadora.
Estrada goes on full defense then drops both her hands when she throws her shots leaving her face open. And her lead hook is waaaaaay too open. She strikes with her palms, not knuckles. Most of the time, it looks like she's just striking the air.

She gotta tighten up those hooks to the body and head especially the ones to body they looked almost lazy like. senesia benefited from yudica having no power behind those punches she took too many clean shots

Seniesa needs to learn how to throw jabs and work on the defense and counters. Just bad display. She won this fight by a round or it could’ve been a draw. She needs more work if she wants to move up weight classes.
