I think one of the issues with Bart is that he talks really really fast & uses a whole lot of unnecessary words w/o actually saying anything of substance… he’s just talking
I didn’t like the way Bartise handled her family at all after the I don’t. I also didn’t like how Nancy was protecting him but What I liked and was really shocked to see her flat out calling him a gaslighter. She’s like you straight up blindsided me and we’re done. From the way she was handling him in public in front of the family and friends I expected her to say I love you let’s make it work. Kind of like what Sk and Raven ended up doing but no. Hell no. Her family being there is something he knew would happen and meeting the family and belonging to the family comes with marrying a person so he knew that comes with the territory so in a way Yes it’s his fault they were there to witness him bringing these two families together just to say no.

He seemed attracted to Nancy at 1st... until he saw Raven and his ego kicked in (probably large in part because she wasn't into him, and he couldn't take the rejection 🙄). It's not that he didn't like Nancy anymore... It's that he wanted to keep his options open, which is not what the show is all about - like that part is over once he was engaged... he had his chance to explore in the pods. Later, he started feeling pressure and shut down physically but imo, that was a him thing not a Nancy thing. He would have done better on a Bachelor in Paradise or a Love Island where they have the opportunity to try out different partners. Love is definitely not blind or deep for I Robot Bartise lol

I can see it being necessary if she was being abused and they needed to step in to save her life but this was an experiment. He had a right to say I do not like everyone else on the show. It's not right for people's family to want to fight someone over that. They are the two parties who were going to get married or not. It's concerning that they were this intrusive because what would it be like if they actually did get married and he was really into her. Will her family always be in the middle of their marital decisions ? There is a place and a time.to be supportive and this was not it. They simply could have spoken to her in private. They didn't even have to acknowledge Bartise after the fact because he ended any idea of being a part of her family and was no longer their concern.

I hate HATE HATE HATE how Nancy spoke to her mom at the wedding. It was despicable, while still trying to salvage a relationship with a man that just never cared for her. I’m not sure what your background is but you probably have no idea how Hispanic moms can be. American moms respect their kids space. Hispanic moms want to control every situation in your life no matter how old you are and they treat you like a 2 year old. They don’t believe you can handle your own. That's funny, for me I hated how the mother (& brother) behaved at the wedding. They kept inserting themselves in a conflict that wasn't theirs and completely disregarded Nancy's request for space, that was upsetting to watch.

Why can't people see that Bartise just didn't like Nancy for who she is. It was maybe a little of the physical thing but he was so taken back with her stance on abortion and her family was not welcoming. They acted like she was too good for him just because she had more money (and her mother looked like she would have been a mother-in-law from hell). But I think it was mainly the fact that he just didn't feel comfortable telling her hey that's not cool that you believe in abortion if you have a less than perfect kid.
