- I started working at Target in December of 2019 after I had a car accident and had to find a job closer to home. I am a cart attendant at Target and this is what I do everyday. it’s a toil job that doesn’t provide any growth in skills that can advance you for better job opportunities. For me it’s a dead end job but i guess we need someone to do it

I work as GM/SFS/Bike Builder. But, I used to be a cart pusher at a Grocery store. At times this job turns into a nightmare, during harsh snowy/icy Winter but my supervisor was really nice and whenever the weather gets very cold/rain, he used to say don't go yet.

I work at Kroger and we don’t have it either. Just a strap. But I prefer just a normal strap. Having the big machine just looks too time consuming.
Yeah I worked at Menards back in 2019 and we didn't have shit to help us, all hands and legs. Plus, since its a home improvement store they always had those big ass rail and flat carts around the parking lot. Way more demanding than a typical retail store.
I work at Safeway and we don’t have one.. I gotta push by hand and it’s on a hill so if they come apart I gotta chase them

I remember one Black Friday me and a cashier who was a good friend of mine helped me pull in 120 carts on our cart manager XD. I was a cart attendant from 2010 to 2015. I didn’t mind not trying to move up cause i liked the variety. At the time, my target was the second busiest store in the nation so i would have to hop on registers ALOT, help with go backs, zoning, cleaning the restrooms every hour etc. good times just the pay and raises were horrible.

Im a cashier at walmart and they always throw me out to push carts because theres only 3 full time cart pushers and only 1 of them is there on any given day. Its always me who has to go push carts because i am the only front end associate who is in shape to be working hard out side (respectful way of calling all my coworkers fat)
I wish we still had the plastic ones. The new metal carts are heavy af. The most i can do is like 11 or 12

I am on the scrawny side so shit is hard at first. They told me to not be embarrassed and to start with 6 to 8 carts until I get used to it to do 10 to 12. Its scary cause I work at Costco and so they are hella busy especially right now with everyone panick buying again.

Does Target require loading? Like loading heavy items on people’s cars because i did that at Home Depot it was mad annoying that i just quit. And for breaks, are they mandatory? Because Home Depot let’s you takes breaks but you always get pulled out it’s so annoying

Yeah it’s good but it’s hard I work at Walmart and I barely talk to customers and they usually just ask what time we close
Prepare to be the doormat of the store if it's Target. It's never JUST carts and usually involves me cleaning shitters and standing at the door saying hi to everyone that walks in. You will also be expected to help any position in the front but don't worry, they don't have to and wont help you at all! :)

It can vary, I’m a cart pusher at A Walmart Supercenter which is where there is a lot of demand for workers

@@nate4713 no, they’re seperate positions, they pay the same but personally Carr pushing is better than cleaning up shit and piss all day, when you apply make sure you call the store and ask for personell to check up on your application

I have a target store near my area and I didnt kno they had a position where you grab carts😂, but fr tho, how was the job? do you need a machine or you have to you use ur bare hands to grab them? how many hours can you least work? all you do is push carts? lmk bc might apply there since imma quit at hyvee in abt 2 months and lmk if you can work at morning too
Both. We use a machine and we push with our hands. We also clean any spills if they happen around the store. We sometimes have to clean the bathrooms and we also help out with cashier. Best part about the job is you dont have a manager on your ass all day and you pretty much get left alone if you do your work right.

No you are in the store all day. That position sucks to be honest. Being a cart attendant is cool because of the simple fact that you don't really deal with customers as much and managers leave you alone as long as you get your work done.

As a lot attendant we are the lowest on every stores totem pole and abused/neglected the most. Not only that but customers respect you lower than anything I'd know

@@andyzuniga872 i got hired recently and been doing it for 2 days and so far it's pretty easy tbh just get carts hella when it's busy and you can chill a lil bit more when it's not busy, and my stores cart pusher is broken and it's still not that bad with doing it manually

It’s pretty easy tbh. I’ve got a decent amount of muscle but I’ve got some fat and am a bit out of shape. I’m able to push 9 carts with no machine without that much of an issue.
I weigh 125 @ 5’8 so I’m definitely skinny but I was able to do 20 by hand

I honestly don’t recommend it at all lol, I work as a cart pusher at Walmart Supercenter and it really sucks when you work morning-mid day shifts where it’s really busy and the sun is burning you alive, if you wanna do it put your availability from around 4-10 pm cause that’s the easy hours
In the beginning it’s a struggle but it gets better. Before I quit, I was able to push 20 carts by hand back to back for about 80 carts until I took a break of 5 minutes and went back at it

I'd say 5. Once starting would be 7 since it is demanding. Once you get use to it once in a while. It'll eventually reduce to 3. I use to work at Wal-Mart and Smith's as Cart Attendant/Front end. Now, I'm applying as Cart Attendant. I'm familiarize with certain front duty. (Work with Wal-Mart for a year, then Smiths for 2 years. Got accepted Two weeks off to move to Phoenix Az from Havasu.)
