  • When looking at a Mercedes Benz there is always the question of what happens when things go wrong with the car. This 2017 C300 is certified preowned which extend the warranty protection. Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged engine 244 HP & mated to a 7-speed transmission. One the inside the the kind of quality you can expect from Mercedes & this C300 shows very little wear. Check out all the details on this 2017 Mercedes Benz C300.

    Just bought a 2017 C300 today and I love it! It had 37K miles on it and I got it for $18,500 after trading my previous car in. I’m a young single woman with no kids in my foreseeable future (LOL) and only 5’3” so I love that it’s compact, especially since my previous car was compact as well. And to top it off, my car payments are $120 cheaper ($295 a month). Yeah I’m VERY happy with this purchase!!!

    Mercedes CPO program has worked out great for me. Bought a loaded 2014 e350 Sport as a certified pre-owned in the fall of 2016. It had 14,000 miles. Had two years left on the warranty and maintenance. Mercedes CPO program added another year of warranty unlimited mileage. Sticker was $64,000, paid $34,500.

That being said the newer generation 4cyl turbo Mercedes engines arent the greatest unfortunately. I think CPO is the best way to purchase a car, so long as you are alright knowing that it is used versus new. Is CPO better than another used car with less miles and selling at a lesser price better? That depends....
    IMO, they are a bit of the same (if purchasing from a real dealer). The difference, I have found; is that the MX will come in handy... stupid issues that one might have encountered at near or close to the near that same mileage of the original or out of warranty car get fixed on the CPO warranty.
    I haven’t purchased a brand new car since my e92 M3 (it hailed in AZ, a few months after I purchased my brand spanking new M3 Comp... broke my heart).

    • @whal8y
      @whal8y Před 5 lety

      I write/comment simply because of my own experience... I took some co-workers to lunch in my CPO’d car about a decade ago and they wondered if stuff was covered... naturally, dude in the backseat out down the window and broke it (window regulator)... that costs $600 to fix out of warranty. CPO warranty, about one hour of my time to drop it off and wait.
      Now, I wish I did the same for my M3 about a month out of warranty... AC went... 900 bucks. It does add up if you choose not to have a warranty or some sort of insurance.

    CPO is the best way to buy any car. I laugh at those who buy new cars because they just lost at least 10% of the cars value the minute they turn out of the dealership's lot. Always let the first person take the depreciation hit & buy a CPO w/ under 10k miles & you'll save yourself a lot of cash.

      These CPO cars are particularly bad. Basically, they're fleet returns, former dealer maintained loaner cars or are they're just lease returns from some ditz that drove the car like they stole it. For the CPO process, the dealer does just a basic inspection that you could get at Pep Boys, "Certifies" the car, slaps on a CPO sticker, gives the car, in the case of Mercedes-CPOs, a ridiculous 12 month warranty, and then they charge thousands more over a non-CPO car.

      I have 2 Mercedes now…a 2012 GLK and a 2015 C Class. Both have been excellent to drive and reliable. You CAN get the yearly maintenance performed at Goodyear, AAA, etc for far less than what the dealer charges. My C Class is a blast to dive in Sport Mode with the paddle shifters. I say go for it because Hondas are boring as hell and life is short.

      @jondoe1310 Před 5 lety

    • @LS1007
      @LS1007 Před 5 lety

      Jon Doe Look up 2017 C300 and you will see that the AMG’s aforementioned are in the “C” class. They are a trim option. I know where the C300 is in the line but that doesn’t change the fact that the AMG C43 and C63 are “C” class also. That’s why the “C” is in their name. Don’t confuse class with league. If you want a 6 or 8 cylinder “C” class get one of the AMG C options. It will still be a “C” class.

    This car says bluetooth but its only for the phone. No USB, No AUX port. I went to a dealership today and tested out a 2011 C300 with 98K miles Silver and the sales guy was telling me it had bluetooth. On my testdrive i loved the car. When we got back, i asked hey lets sync my phone and play my tunes...FAILURE. Then he said i have to buy another device to make it play music. And merc did not intend you to hook up an aftermarket bluetooth you have to always enable that input to sync thats crazy, So i refused to the car. Sad to say the car was clean and nice but dont mess with music folks. Mercedes take note, make sure you have bluettoth in all your C class cars.

    • @Robwilli
      @Robwilli Před 5 lety

      I agree, if I'm buying a premium brand car, I would definitely go for the highest or second highest trim level. That only can be done if you have the extra money. Base trims on premium cars are not worth it imo.
      If I can't afford a ~70k vehicle on those premium brands, might as well just afford a high trim Corolla.
      Base model cars of any brand to be honest, imo would be only if "you can't afford" the car.
      If I have the money, I will always aim for the highest trim no matter what brand of car. But if I can't afford non of the highest trims then I'll have to settle for a base model.
