Oh my goodness, this was the BEST time and we learned sooo much! Love ya girl!
It was fantastic!
You look just as beautiful as the model! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Aww, thank you so much!
So helpful!! You really picked up some great skills with her products and put them to use so beautifully. Flawless complexion! I am still shocked about how little product is needed! Thank you for sharing with us 😊
Thank you so much!! The amount of product needed was mindblowing to me! I feel like pretty much everyone is using too much.
This was amazing! Absolutely do more of these - it’s fantastic information and you look beautiful. Love hearing that it was a life changing few days! 💗♥️💗♥️
Thank you so much Julie! I'm so glad this was helpful. I wasn't sure if people would enjoy my take on it but I will definitely do more like this in the future.
thanks for the great info and demo your skin looks amazing i can't wait to try this
Thank you Donna! Please let me know after you try it out!
Omg!! A masterclass with a real life makeup artist would be uh-may-zing!! I'd love a masterclass with Wayne Goss, Natasha Denona, Charlotte Tilbury, Hung Vanngo or Cheri Voyage!! Or old school MVP'S like Way Bandy or Keyvin Aucoin 💓
It would have been nice to see the last two before they passed on. I still like watching old Kevin Aucoin videos.
I agree, those would be great too! I would take another class with Danessa Myricks in a heartbeat!
I agree! I always wanted to see Kevyn Aucoin in person.
Thank you for sharing this experience! It looks like it was so much fun!!
It was! I really hope I get to go again in the future.
Thanks for sharing! This was soooo helpful! 🌻
I am so happy to hear that! Thank you!
Oooh, I’ve been really looking forward to this! Your skin looks flawless!
Yay! Thank you! I hope you enjoy it Ari!
This was fascinating Lexi! I can’t wait to play with some of these techniques. Thanks so much for bringing so much innovation, information and fun to your channel!❤️
So glad! Thank you so much Marjorie and I am really happy that you enjoyed it!
This is great and I appreciate the clips from the masterclass too :) I would LOVE to be in one of her classes. She has such a tangible passion for what she does and there's so many myrick-isms - shall we call them😂 - that make ppl rethink makeup application and technique.
That's a great way to put it Janai! I really think she is one of the most innovative people of our time and she is definitely changing the way people approach makeup and techniques. I completely agree with you!
That was so interesting Lexie. I would never have purchased the balms if not for you. I really like the way it looks on my skin. I’m going to try under painting… Thank you for sharing tips with us…so fun!
Thank you so much Jane! I'm so glad you enjoyed this!
Hi Lexi, I love how you explained everything during your application it really helps. You look amazing. Your skin is perfection. Thank you. 😘😘
Thank you Gia! I'm so glad it was helpful. It was such a great experience!
Lexi, great video showing us how to use DM products and techniques. How exciting it must of been to go to her class and see it in person. Thank you for sharing photos from the class. I love the look and the chrome flakes wow those are so much fun!! I would love to see the other chrome flakes on your eyes. They look amazing! Thank you for this video I think it helped many people in the application of her products. 😊🌺
Thank you Lora! I picked up quite a few of the chrome flakes so I will definitely share those. I think they are a lot of fun and they really make me think of summer makeup!
Very beautiful! It sounds like this class was very beneficial for you and so nice that you are imparting your knowledge with us!
Thank you Susie! It was such a great class!
I love the overpainting idea ! I will try that it looks beautiful on you! I’m going to check her stuff out very cool!
Please let me know how it works out for you!
Hi Lexi, this masterclass was so incredibly amazing! The techniques and product usage you demonstrate are both fascinating and so so helpful! I can't take my eyes off the end result and Pride is just blowing me away lol. 🙆♀️👏💯
Thank you so much! I have to admit that I got several compliments in person on my skin with this look!
@@LexiJong I absolutely agree your skin looks incredible and I noticed that as well as Pride blowing me away. 😝
I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time in NY! It sounds like you learned so much! Thanks for sharing some of your tips and tricks with with us :)
I picked up the Yummy Skin Balm and have been playing around with it. So far I really like it! I still need to try the Chrome Flakes - they look stunning on you!♡
Thank you Whitney! I am so glad you are enjoying the balm! I'm becoming obsessed with the chrome flakes myself. They are just so fun!
I love this look on you so much🤩🤩🤩 Just beautiful!!!
Thank you so much!! I felt so good about it all day!
Thank you for the thorough tutorial. I am very interested in the colorfix in Nude, but it isn’t available in Canada yet. The flakes are lovely on your eyes - great for an evening out. The under/over method is interesting - so I will be buying the balm and yummy skin. Thank you for sharing what you learned.
Thank you Jocelyne! The nude shades are harder to find here as well. They don't seem to be at all of the retailers. I hope they make them more widely available soon. I like the colorfix as an eyebase too. Please let me know what you think if you try these out!
Excited to see how these flakes works and if they last. Sounds like a blast. Two BFFs playing with makeup and surprise you two didn’t buy more. A bag or two to remember the occasion.
It was a really fun trip but short. I wish we had more time for shopping.
Your skin looks great! ❤
Thank you so much!
Really enjoyed this tutorial and seeing all the layering - your skin had a lovely sheen using this technique. The Pride shade is remarkable - so unusual and a real pop of colours. I was worried for you when you put that glitter on though - I had an allergic reaction in my eyes about a month ago and 2 weeks of steroid eye drops and antibiotic ointment, I didn't dare where any eye make up at all - that was horrid! So I thought you were pretty brave to put that glitter on plus the Kajal - respect 😄Would def like to see more of the D M products - I have never used her stuff before so it is always interesting to discover new brands and ways to use the make up. The Masterclass looked amazing - what a wonderful privilege to be able to attend. Your joy at being there was lovely to see. Thanks for a great video Lexi x
Thank you so much Annie! Omg, an allergic reation for weeks would be terrible! I'm so sorry that happened. I get nervous about loose glitters for that reason but thankfully the chrome flakes are basically embedded in a glitter glue substance so they aren't as risky. I will definitely share more DM products and how I like to incorporate them with other brands too! I'm so glad you enjoyed this Annie! Have a great weekend!
@@LexiJong Thankfully the allergic reaction lasted a couple of days but had to have the steroid and antibiotic ointment for 2 weeks as eye stayed irritated and uncomfortable but all good now thanks 😀 Look forward to seeing more tutorials with DM products. Enjoy your weekend Lexi x
@@anniewhitmore7627 thanks Annie! You too!
Great to see you use a shade for your skin tone as I think I'm close. You always do such a clear in-depth review. If you have or intend getting Wayne Goss new The Cream Foundation, could yo do a comparison re performance and shades suitable? Thank you as always XXX
I don't think I will be getting the Wayne Goss foundation but it does look really nice! My best guess is shade 10 which is currently oos. If I decide to get it when it restocks, I will definitely do a comparison. I picked up the Jones Road balm and will be comparing that one soon. It just arrived.
Thank you for sharing what you learned! Do the balm or foundation have a strong fragrance?
Thank you for watching Jamie! The foundation has a bit of a fruity scent but it is on the lighter side imo. The balm has more of an herbal scent but it isn't strong either. The foundation scent is a bit stronger than the balm imo.
I loved seeing this look Lexi and all the tips and techniques you picked up from the masterclass. I would love to do something like this as well. So cool!! I’m interested in trying the blurring balm powder as a light foundation. I picked up the yummy skin foundation and it’s beautiful but too full coverage for me. Beautiful look Lexi!! Thank you!!
Thank you Yulia! Please let me know what you think of the blurring balm and definitely test it with a dense brush and a fluffy brush to see which you prefer.
@Lexi Jong I will definitely let you know Lexi!! I was thinking of picking shade 2 as well.
@@yuliabudd4401 good choice
Do you think it is best to use the Universal shade OR your color shade if this is too be used as a primer under another foundation?
If you want more coverage, go with your color shade. Otherwise, I prefer the universal.
Omg I would of loved to went to a master class with Danessa! I loved everything you shared with us. I love the yummy skin I picked it up on the pre launch.
You would have loved it Belinda! I hope sometime you get the opportunity.
Oh wow, it was a bit surprising how the end result of underpainting turned out to be. I had heard about it but never witnessed it before! It was in a bit of shock when you loaded the product initially. I learnt something new. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us.
Thank you! I'm so glad you found it helpful. Underpainting is such a cool technique imo.
FYI - I binge watched the 2 seasons of Sanditon & loved it! Any more similar recs?
I don’t know of any shows quite like it but doctor thorne was similar. Downton Abbey is great of course and I haven’t watched it yet but the Gilded Age is supposed to be good. I am so glad you loved Sanditon! I can’t wait for Season 3!!
Hi Lexi: Ordered from Selfridges the #116 Lt. Ed. Suqqu eyeshadow palette from the Summer 2022 collection this morning plus another lip glow lip product. Happy to see that things have not sold out in minutes....makes for happier customers everywhere! Definitely a gorgeous palette....will pass on the Chantecaille Summer collection this year.
I'm so glad you were able to get it! The SUQQU launch was much smoother this time but unfortunately they still messed up on the launch time! Lol.
@@LexiJong Really? Guess I had not noticed since my ordering went smoothly. Do you know, Lexi, if Selfridges lets the customer know when their yearly shipping rate expires? I know mine is in June...just not sure when. Thanks.
@@donnaj4528 I can't remember if they do or not. I know they used to years ago but I can't remember if I received a notice last time. I don't think I did but you can look up your orders on the Selfridges site and see when you paid for it.
@@LexiJong Will do...thanks, Lexi. :)
I don’t think these gel shadows have the same end result as the CT hypnotic pops. So I found my answer searching your videos. Thank you Lexi
I'm glad you found the answer - I agree with you.
Your lip color looks gorgeous 💖
Thank you!
Wow - first! Can't wait to watch this 😀
Hope you like it!
I wonder if that blur balm is similar in consistency and texture as the CHANEL soleil tan de CHANEL?
I feel like at first touch they are similar but this dries to a matte finish, more of a powder finish on the skin so I think that transformation is a big differentiation.
@@LexiJong I’m definitely interested in the blur balm, and the sunscreen from Hero.
@@dianereiser6417 i hope you love them!
Hi Lexi it was interesting, and so similar like in Lisa Eldridge videos. She teaches to use makeup in thin layers, to create that natural transparent glazed skin. I dont think i will buy all of this makeup. Its way too many layers to me. I have sensitive skin, and all this blending, my skin would go nuts 😝😳🤪😂 and balmy texture , my skin i dont think would agree with. But i am interested maybe pick up some blush, and i loved that base what you used on your eyes. And some chrome flakes i like it too. I liked when you created just as eyeliner. I might would tight line first and then that chrome just as eyeliner, i think Lisa in her glass skin video, used DM sugar plum for blush and little on lips. Is that cool tone ? And also is DM balm powder the same as Rae Morris one? Rae Morris one is sold out right now 😔
But very exiting, that you attended the class. Its very interesting to see how to improve makeup. I hope you had a great time without the family. Its good to have a break , and some time for yourself 😜 Have a blessed day 🙏🧡
Thank you Giedre! I think you can definitely use the techniques with other makeup so no need to buy everything. If you do try any of her products, I would start with the balm powder and the colorfix. I'm not sure how similar the balm powder is to the Rae Morris one but I did just buy it so I can compare them soon. I think the big difference is that the RM uses silicone microspheres instead of the upsalite so from that I would think that the DM will absorb more oil on oilier skin types and have a bit more flexibility in that sense. I will compare them soon though!
G'Day Lexi, i'm only 15 mins into your video and I'm wondering if I have these applications correct. So first it's the Yummy Skin Glow Serum, followed by Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder ( which appears to look like a balm , not a powder). Next it's time to apply Yummy Skin Serum Foundation, ( which appears to look like a cream foundation). Am I on the right track Lexi ? Who on earth named these products? Too many mentions of "yummy, yummy skin, then there's another mention of a yummy skin serum; but this time it's a yummy skin serum foundation". Is everone else keeping up with these silly names and the order in which one applys these YUMMY products? Your make up looks lovely so far Lexi. I really am intetested in these products, so I'm going to continue with your video now.
Oops, I'm not quite finished with my questions. You just applied a sculpting balm. Now is this a greasy balm or a balm powder? ( Whatever that is). I am a retired make up artist Lexi, but I've never encountered anything like this. It does look really nice though. If Danessa could send me instructions, it would be appreciated. Back to your video......
The application process is fluid so you can change it up however you want. The Yummy skin skin glow serum can be used as a primer or on top of the balm or foundation for radiance like a highlighter. The balm can be used solely as foundation or as a more matte primer. She always uses it underneath the foundation so that any oils that come throughout the day are soaked up and don't interfere with any makeup. If you want something super dewy, you can skip the balm and just use the yummy skin foundation. In the class, she started with the balm, then used the foundation in strategic locations for more coverage then mattified areas with the balm.
The sculpting balm is similar to the TF shade and illuminate balm. It is a thin balmy texture more like the tower 28 blushes but not as oily in texture. Seeing her work is incredible!
The names are definitely confusing and long! I agree that there is too much "yummy skin" but hopefully this helps!
@@LexiJong Very helpful thank you. My skin tone is a tad deeper than your's, so when I place my order with Beautylish
I wont have to worry which shades I need. I will go one shade up from your chosen ones. I'm going to purchase 4 products. I loved your finished look. I hope they wear well in the Cairns humidity. It is 7 minutes past midnight here in Cairns. Thank you for your speedy reply. Night
@@LexiJong Dear Lexi, I have just found out where these beautiful products are made. Unfortunately, I will now not be purchasing any of the products because I don't apply anything to my skin if it's made in that country. I sincerely thank you for all the time and effort you put into explaining these products. I know you and others will continue to enjoy using them because they really do create a beautiful look. I do hope many other you tubers watch your video to learn how to use these products, because there appears to be a lack of knowledge amongst you tubers on how best to use the four main complection products. Not everyone uses instagram, me included.
@@gailmealworm456 oh i completely understand Gail. They are made in China and it took me a while to get over that.
@@LexiJong It’s the reason why I only picked the balm. I don’t buy made in China products, but I occasionally make exceptions. The balm seemed too innovative to pass.
Love watching your videos. The sparkle on your eyes looks so beautiful. So how were the girls with their Dad and were they happy to see you when you returned. I loved watching your NYC trip.
Thanks Jo! The girls were fine when I was gone. It's so funny how they act differently for different parents. They missed me though and waited up to see me come home!
@@LexiJong That is so sweet. Of course they love their Beautiful Mum! 💋💄♥️
are the Danessa Myricks products safe? they’re made in china
From what I understand, she is able to follow US guidelines so they are safe and she has control over the production.
The nose is my Achilles heel when it comes to foundation.
Same! It is just always hard to get good coverage that lasts!
Her model is so young and beautiful. So. for me, it is unrelevent... I wish aii the makeup artists start demonstrating on normal woman!
Yes her model was gorgeous and young! Most of the people taking the class were professional makeup artists working on brides and models so her choice was appropriate for this class. She worked on some other models of different ages and skin tones during the show but unfortunately I was not able to attend all of her events.
