Great soundtrack from a great game!
I hope that as many people as possibly is watching these movies/listening to the soundtrack. If they get popular enough we might be lucky enough that Creative Assembly and SEGA releases the soundtrack on a disc. :) So view and rate! - Hry
Impossible to not be moved by this. It just embodies the sheer sense of destiny in Napoleon so much.
+Evangelos Tse I agree. This music represents the conquering might of Napoleon and I believe that bit where it goes quiet is his empire ending and his mighty conquest ended

Reading Napoleon's dairy really allowed me to see how a talented man think and do and say and act. And how he changed as he grew in power, boldness and pride. "Joseph would do better if he would only work" to "I never was truly my own master but was always ruled by circumstance." I would live a good life indeed if I went through so many transformation myself

I always love it when the singing starts and it shows the French( i think) soldiers charging the British soldiers.

Personally, I've always been more of a fan of Paradox Interactive games. But, jeez, the soundtrack for every single Total War game is just so damn majestic to me. Admittedly, I once reinstalled Shogun merely so I could watch hundreds of men die in battle while listening to the great soundtrack.
That's why I listen to Total War soundtracks while playing Europa Universalis IV.

Oh, I always thought the blue was the vanilla game and the red background was the altered mod "Darthmod" that I've seen many people play.

I wish they could make empire+napoleon total war campaign. So starts in 1700 and ends in 1850, that would be long and awesome.
Or even better, from 1650 to 1850.

No, Agnus Dei sounds very different. You mean Introitus: Requiem aeternam. This song sounds clearly like the music in the game.
They should make an Empire 2 Total War which is set between the Napoleonic Wars and WW. It could includes Africa, India and America as well as Europe.
Mah man! I was thinking of something similar, like In the middle of the Victorian era in 1860 with America on the brink of civil war and European powers hungering for more, and look towards the continents of Africa, China and Indonesia as well...

I Heard it in a TV show and thought. Hey I've heard this before and came here xD
One of the developers said they COULD make a First World War Total War, but it wouldn't end up being fun. They could definitely do it, but I think they'd have to implement some kind of system where you would issue AI-controlled orders to the army's corps commanders and then you'd take like only a regiment for yourself to actually control, because of the scale you've mentioned.
However, the naval battles would be FUN AS SHIT. I can dream.
a ww1 total war game would just only have trench warfare when all the units sit in the trench to avoid casualties and it would be boring as crap

None of them were world wars. Only the first and the second world wars. WERE ACTUALLY WORLD WARS! It says it in their names!
+Selective Dexter Actually, if you take the term "World War" literally, then WW1 would be the 7 years war - it being fought not only in Europe, but in North America and India as well. The Napoleonic Wars on the other hand were mostly confined to the European continent, so they are not World War(s) at all.

I remember that how much time I spent on the menu because of this magnificent piece and forgot to play the game itself. Better start reading Max Gallo's books once again.

The game was 6,24 for a short period of time , I got it , and honestly I play on battle mode way more then the campaign l and I love the details of each country speaking in their own languages , as a French, understanding what your country say is just so cool. Probably one of the best total war game with shogun 2.

It strangely reminds me of Hans Zimmer's score for The Last Samurai. Both are excellent imo

I am inclined to agree. World War I trench warfare would be boring and mindless anyway. I send my infantry to the trenches and they get torn apart and then I wait for your infantry to do the same. Bear in mind, that the scope of these kinds of wars makes it also impossible. Can you imagine trying to individually command an army over a front that spans 200km, commanding infantry, tanks, artillery pieces, aircraft etc. We are talking about warfare using combined arms on a scale never seen before.

@DarkTider Not to mention Russia didn't comply with the Continental Plan or whatever the hell it was called. He was trying to cut England's trade off from Europe and Russia kept trading with them.
The Theme for NTW is the best of the series', It is so epic i dont think they could top it! , probably the best theme for a game ive ever played!!
I wish they include it in every other game of the series they are going to make

There were 4 continent's that were involved in this war, being Europe, Africa (Mostly the North), North America, and South America . While Europe was at war the United States was Neutral, but it's ships were being attacked by British ships to stop trade with France, so The War of 1812 happened, In Europe, Napoleon invaded Portugal, but the Spanish were scared that they would be forced to be non Christians (like during the French revolution ), so they rebelled, and Napoleon have his brother the throne of Spain, but Spanish resistance was mainly guerilla warfare, which lasted about 3 years, but, Spain controlled most of Latin America and Mexico, most of the colonies wanted to rebel because they were never really treated fairly, ok I'm done, im sure I missed a few things, but, O well

@Arc9er Partially correct, except the end. Napoleon was not captured at Waterloo and Waterloo was not even the end of that war, a few minor battles taking place before the coalition captured Paris, including one crushing defeat inflicted by Napoleon upon the preussian army.
Subsequentely after the fall of paris Napoleon headed to the southwest of france, hoping to escape to america and settle down there. But the brits blocked that route, and so he decided to give himself up to the english.

Sargent...are we gonna die? CHICHIPOOW shell explodes in the ranks. I wish Empire had this detail, I love the colonial era more than the 18 teens, but the damn detail is amazing in this game!! Horses without riders after a volley? Priceless!

the thing is that TW is more based on big armies, in napoleon era armies would march together as one, in ww2 armies consisted more on companies and platoons so basicly the enemy was everywhere making it hard for the TW engine to recreate the 20th century wars ... tho they could try
Napoleon was a brilliant strateegist. he ended the war against Austria and Russia in 1 blow at Austerlitz and he got as far as Mosow.He did not command the army in Spain and the british army was tiny, Britain relied on her allies at waterloo most of the soldiers fighting at waterloo werent even british
